My little Razzle – by name and nature! One of the more challenging things that I've experienced with Razzle has been his attention-seeking and attempting tug-of-war with his lead while I'm at my co-working space in face-to-face meetings or in a cafe or networking. The advice that I was given was to have him on the lead at home, but that only led him to try to razzle at home. I tried catching him when he settled and rewarding that behaviour. I tried randomly giving him treats when he was in a calm state by my side. I tried other strategies, but nothing seemed to work. Then last week... I got him to "wait". He knows this command well. It's basically a holding call. Whatever he wants to do, he gets to do it when I say "ok". So I started training him while I was cooking and making breakfast to "wait" and it went from 5 minutes, to 7 minutes to 10 minutes to 15 minutes and would give him the "ok" to break his wait and he took to it like a little champion. Within two days... my smart little man turned a corner and the next three meetings I went to, he just waited when I asked him. For some reason, he just "got" this one. Now as with all my posts about Razzle this isn't about my dog-training abilities. It's about trying different strategies to get the desired outcome. You see as with leading people, one strategy doesn't work the same way for all people all the time. As humans, we have different drivers, motivations and ways that we work and, more importantly, work with others. So often I hear leaders getting frustrated because the people around them aren't changing. However, my approach is very much about what the leader can change and adapt to communicate better and get a better result. So if you're leading a team and you're not getting the results you want, try a different strategy. If that doesn't work, try another one. If that doesn't work... well you get the message! #InspiredOutcomesConsulting #BusinessConsultant #BusinessAdvice #Solopreneurs #SmallBusinessCoach

🚨 Coaches: Struggling to Get Clients? It’s Time to Master FOMO! 🚨 If you’re finding it hard to get clients or close leads, let me introduce you to a powerful strategy that top businesses swear by: FOMO—the Fear of Missing Out. 💡 Why FOMO Works FOMO taps into human psychology. People naturally hate losing out on valuable opportunities more than they desire gaining something new. It’s all about triggering urgency. Consider Black Friday: people line up for hours and make quick decisions because they’re afraid they’ll miss out on limited-time deals. This isn’t about the product—it’s about the fear of what they’ll lose if they don’t act fast. 🔥 How Can You Use FOMO in Your Coaching Business? Time-Sensitive Offers: Example: “Enrollment closes in 48 hours—don’t miss out on this chance to transform your business.” Limited Availability: Example: “Only 3 spots left in my 1:1 coaching program—act fast or wait another 6 months for the next opening.” Exclusive Bonuses for Early Signups: Example: “Sign up by tomorrow and get an extra 1-on-1 session with me.” 🔑 The Takeaway? FOMO taps into the fear of loss, and it’s a game-changer when you want to motivate clients to act now. If you’re not using it, you’re missing out on a powerful tool to close more sales and boost your coaching business. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll cover how to create urgency and scarcity to amplify FOMO even further. #CoachingBusiness #FOMO #MarketingStrategy #LeadGeneration #SalesPsychology #ClientAttraction

📢 My fellow coach & service provider friends… Here are 3 ways to prevent “ghosting” or indecision after a discovery call. Save this post for your next call! 1️⃣ Schedule a Follow-Up: If your potential client wants to “think about it,” schedule a follow-up within 48-hours or within a few days so you can discuss any lingering questions or concerns. 2️⃣ Clarify Decision Factors: Find out what criteria your potential client is using to make their decision. We can’t know if our offer is a fit for someone if we don’t really know what they’re specifically looking for! If you’re getting ghosted, it might mean you don’t have enough of an understanding about what your potential client is wanting. At the end of your call, if someone tells you they want to move forward, but they need to sleep on it— you can do simple a pulse check to see what might come up for them that could change their decision. And by addressing potential roadblocks upfront, you can help them gain more confidence in their decision-making process. 3️⃣ Make sure you clearly give them FULL permission to say no to your offer! This creates a safe space & allows for more open communication, instead of avoidance and ghosting. By implementing these strategies, you’ll not only decrease ghosting & indecision from your potential clients, but also foster a culture of transparency and clear communication n your coaching practice. In the Inner Circle, we coach a LOT on the topics of sales, discovery calls, objections, & confidence in your offer. 😊 Got questions? “Control what you can control”.. means little without context. Here’s the context 👇 1. When I’ve had challenges with a manager: 👉 My controllables: • talk to my coach about it • listen to / do my best to understand where • my manager is coming from • be compassionate (not always easy) • work on my communication & patience • if all fails, start looking / go elsewhere 2. When I’ve had challenges with closing deals: 👉 My controllables: • revisit the business challenge I’m helping them address (do I fully understand this) • what’s their urgency & why • asking myself, “what am I missing” • am I at the right level, talking to the right people, if not.. get there 3. I’m feeling stressed & anxious: 👉 My controllables: • asking, what am I stressed about? • reminder myself of what really matters (health, happiness, fulfillment) not closed wins • continue meditating daily • continue exercising daily • take a full day off to relax physically & mentally Here’s what else I control: complaining procrastination fear indecision mediocrity 👆 none of these serve me CTA - control what you can control (yes), making sure what you’re focusing on and in control of is serving, not hurting you. I also control when to make and have a nice old fashioned 🥃.. that’s nice too! :) #motivation #sales #coaching #skyeisthelimit

As someone in a crowded industry with countless competitors, I know how tough self-promotion can be. But I've learned that it's not about boasting or bragging - it's about showing others how you can add value. Through conversations with colleagues and clients, I've realized that self-promotion is about explaining how you can help others succeed. So let's shift our mindset and focus on bringing value to those around us. #selfpromotion #networking #entrepreneurmindset

An investor once asked us funnily: “What happens when you guys fight at work?” Though the question may sound light-hearted, it is a valid thing to ponder about when you’re starting out with your partner. If you manage to do the following, your partner may turn out to be the best co-founder: - Working together may seem irritating at times, but in the long run—it teaches you to control your emotions and become a more tolerant person. - We have realized that we cannot be good at everything - we each have our areas of strength and today we respect that by not stepping on each other’s toes. - When we have disagreements, we try to resolve them privately. We have realized that public showdowns are especially bad for the team’s morale. Working with your life partner is a journey of many ups and downs, learnings, and dissatisfactions. But at the end of the day, knowing that you have each other’s back no matter what life throws at you calms the nerves and keeps you going! Do you work with your spouse? What are your top tips to smoothen your work relationship? #feedback #leaders #conflicts

I’m pretty apprehensive about this call… The exact words of a coach who I had a great conversation with on Monday. They’d been put off asking for help… Because of previous negative experiences they’d had with other mentors.. Not even from joining the programme.. But from the first call.. He’s also not the first person who’s said that to me. And honestly I don’t blame coaches.. I’d be the same. Trust is earned, not given. If coaches feel that way about the prospect of asking for help… Imagine how your people feel. You can’t afford not to be person first. A great Olympic coach once said to us 👇 Your best clients will value consistency, longevity and integrity above anything else.. Because they’ve been sold all of the short term and fancy strategies before. If you want to build a better business.. And change the narrative.. You’ve got to hold fast and stay true. #Thehighperformancecoach
