Air Doctor has just raised $20 million in Series B funding to fuel its expansion into Asian markets! The round was led by AMOON, a healthtech and life sciences-focused investment fund, with strategic backing from Tokio Marine HCC, Samsung Ventures, and others, including existing investors like Lightspeed Venture Partners, Vintage Investment Partners, Phoenix Insurance, and Munich Re Ventures. Founded by Jenny Cohen Derfler, Air Doctor is a telemedicine app that connects travelers with a network of over 20,000 multilingual doctors and specialists across 84 countries. The platform ensures that healthcare is easily accessible while travelers are abroad, helping to reduce the high medical bills that are often passed on to insurers. With this funding, Air Doctor will expand into Asia and further solidify its place in the global travel health market. By improving access to medical care for travelers, the company is helping insurers reduce costs while giving users peace of mind when traveling. The big challenge? Ensuring seamless, real-time access to quality healthcare in any corner of the world, particularly in diverse and emerging markets like Asia. Here’s the billion-dollar question: Can Air Doctor scale its telemedicine platform fast enough to provide universal access to healthcare for travelers in the world’s most remote and underserved areas? If they can, they could become the go-to global solution for travel health. How important do you think telemedicine will be for the future of travel? Let’s hear your thoughts! Why Dozee?? This was the question I asked myself then. Well, the decision to join Dozee was driven by several compelling factors. Dozee's journey, spearheaded by founders Mudit Dandwate and Gaurav Parchani since its establishment in 2015, has been nothing short of remarkable. Over the past eight years, the company has developed world-class products and features, experiencing exponential growth, transitioning from a startup to a global player with operations in multiple countries. But, what spurred its growth? To be honest, when I analysed it, I found a few important factors that contributed to its dynamic growth- 📍 Constantly improving and evolving. 📍Mission of the company which is patient-centric and wants to enhance care and patient safety. This also leads Dozee to maintain the best quality of its products. 📍The future pipeline of product offerings is robust and exciting. 📍 Vision of the founders. As pioneers in developing India's first contactless AI-based remote patient monitoring system, Dozee has revolutionized healthcare delivery. Dozee is planning to expand its footprints across the globe and has recently started its journey in the USA, Africa and the Middle East too. Being a witness to this remarkable journey, I take pride in being a part of Dozee’s ongoing success stories and exciting times ahead! #ProudToBeADozean #HarBedDozeeBed 🛏️ #EnhancePatientSafety #MakeInIndia #MedTechInnovation #RemotePatientMonitoring #SavingLives #OnwardandUpward 🚀

Hello, I’m Tushar Ahmed, and I find purpose in connecting individuals from Bangladesh with the healing potential of world-class healthcare in Thailand. As the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy & Operations Officer of SKYA1 Thai Medical Tourism (TMT), my work is driven by a deep sense of responsibility—to serve, guide, and ensure that each patient’s journey towards health and recovery is seamless, personalized, and holistic. At the core of my mission is the belief that health is more than just physical wellness. It's a multi-dimensional experience that touches the mind, body, and spirit. Every interaction, every decision, and every strategy I implement in SKYA1 is rooted in the understanding that true healing is personal and transformative. It’s about more than just medical treatment; it’s about providing comfort, clarity, and support at every stage of the patient’s journey. I believe in the power of compassionate care, where technology meets humanity, and where the simplest actions—whether it’s a visa arrangement or a post-treatment follow-up—are infused with intention and purpose. Working alongside partners in Thailand’s leading hospitals, my role is not just to facilitate medical services but to create a bridge—where patients from Bangladesh can access advanced healthcare solutions with confidence and trust. Our mission at SKYA1 is to revolutionize healthcare accessibility for Bangladeshis, focusing on personalized care and cost-effective solutions. Whether through medical consultations, travel and visa assistance, or cost management, we handle every aspect with a deep commitment to the patient’s well-being. At the same time, my work is inspired by a greater vision—one where technology and quantum understanding can align with humanity’s needs for a better world. I am deeply inspired by the teachings of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, and together with SKYA1, I strive to contribute to economic empowerment, social justice, and health equity on a global scale. As I continue to evolve personally and professionally, my aim is to remain grounded in the values of humility, clarity, and service. Each day, I am reminded of the spiritual wisdom that drives my actions; "Inwardly be free from all desires and hopes, but outwardly do what has to be done." —Rishi Vasistha SKYA1 Thai Medical Tourism (TMT)

🌟 Health Founders Estonia is kicking-off the Latitude59 week!🌟 Currently on stage of "Thinking in Billions" Siim Saare from Lifeyear and dr Katrin Kaarna from Tartu University Hospital together with Andres Sutt, and Jaanika Merilo tackling a big question: “First Health Tech Unicorn by 2030 – Is It Possible and How Can We Get There Faster?”🚀 Common ground for the further discussions was found: ✅ Health care providers are hungry for new technologies to solve numerous clinical needs of the aging population, implement personalized medicine services, empower people and patients in prevention and during their care pathway and make health care service provision more efficient. ✅Businesses and start-ups are hungry to provide the innovative solutions for such clinical and efficiency needs, however currently the innovation pathway in Estonia is quite fragmented and there are clear bottlenecks, especially regarding funding and regulatory aspects of new innovations. ✅State agencies are keen on making the infrastructure and health and genomic data layer more accessible for the innovative SMEs and brainstorm how to built the #healthtech innovation ecosystem that would attract also foreign innovators to use Estonia as a test bed. So we are in the crossing road - the need is evident, but now we need to come together and find the solution how to implement all this in the best possible way! 🤝 👉 Health Founders will continue these discussions and if you want to join in check: https://hfe.ee/ or find us in the Latitude59 #HealthTech area

Path to a better future Chastened by the pandemic, even beyond the outbreak, something only understandable by those in this area of the Globe, we witnessed the decline of a thriving economy, with the departure of thousands of people. Today, some dare to return, and new immigrants arrive in this region - with them comes hope for a bright, vibrant, and challenging future. Local citizens also begin to believe that the nightmare has passed, although it is evident that it left, more than deep marks, lessons that will last over time and be passed from generation to generation. Taking all this into consideration, Globallmed is even more prepared for new challenges, attesting to its strong capacity for resilience, largely due to the belief of its shareholders that Macau, the Greater Bay Area, in short, China is a land of the future. Globallmed assumes its unique characteristics, based on the diversity of those who seek, and also those who offer the best in healthcare. Evidence-based medicine is the motto and is what more and more customers trust. GLOBALLMED Medical Centre #trust #health #macau #quality #healthcare

Some insights from the digital health event Vitalis that we attended this week in Sweden. ➡ In Scandinavia, healthcare professionals actively seek for understanding digital health and AI. The discussion is no longer only in the circles of developers - it is an active topic in the hospitals. ➡ A need and a will to move from "pilotism" to really integrating useful technology in daily clinical practice. ➡ Clinical workflow optimization technologies are sought-after by clinicians (hence, many providers were showcasing their offers during the event). ➡ A really cool parallel between healthcare and aviation industries both having time and resource pressures and a high speed of operations. Real cases taking an inspiration from aviation on how to manage the patient flows, queues, and scheduling. ➡ Chatted with startups and Notified Bodies about the queues waiting for an offer for the audit - the situation of long waiting times is experienced in Scandinavia too, but there is hope. ➡ We expanded our network with Scandinavian startup support organizations, experts, companies, regulators. We look forward bringing this value to the Lithuanian ecosystem. Thank you Vitalis for a well-organized event. Aurelija Galvelyte Monika Nair
