I find it interesting that #travelers are quoted as saying they had to wait 45 minutes or 30 minutes and they were only halfway through the line. Clearly, #passenger expectations have changed as hour-long+ waits used to be routine at #bordercontrol. 🛂 🤯 Once #passengerexperience or, more generally, #customerexperience is transformed by #biometric #digital #Identity, no one wants to go back. This is just one of the many reasons I have advocated for #biometric #technology for 20+ years and why The Prism Project #reports across vertical markets - #financialservices, #travel & #hospitality, #governmentservices, etc. - show that #Customer #Expectation is one of the leading market drivers/challenges Download the reports here - https://lnkd.in/gZn9w_GS #biometrics #customers #finance #border #passengerfacilitaion ID Tech (formerly FindBiometrics) PEAK IDV #marketdrivers #marketanalysis #marketforecasts SITA Amadeus Wicket Vision-Box, an AMADEUS company Gunnebo IDEMIA NEC Corporation Materna IPS GmbH

Will automated border crossings be here soon 🛫❓ Long queues at airport checkpoints, annoyed passengers, and stressed officials – the soaring number of travelers worldwide has been calling for solutions to make border crossings more efficient. The increasing use of automation can be a way to solve these problems. Automation technologies can streamline processes along the entire passenger journey – from the collection of personal data via Digital Travel Authorizations (DTAs) before the journey to biometric verification, e.g. in eKiosks and eGates. Governments and authorities are also feeling the pressure to provide their passengers with a seamless travel experience, which is why they are also increasingly pushing the use of automation technologies. 👩 While these technological advancements are a cause for optimism, we must keep in mind that the road to a seamless traveler experience must also meet the highest security demands. The short answer to the entry question is therefore: Frictionless border crossing is something we can expect in the future, but we’re not quite there yet. To learn where we are standing and where we are headed in automated border crossing, read our new article: https://lnkd.in/d3d4MJYN #BorderCrossing #SeamlessTravel #Biometrics #Technology

Path to a better future Chastened by the pandemic, even beyond the outbreak, something only understandable by those in this area of the Globe, we witnessed the decline of a thriving economy, with the departure of thousands of people. Today, some dare to return, and new immigrants arrive in this region - with them comes hope for a bright, vibrant, and challenging future. Local citizens also begin to believe that the nightmare has passed, although it is evident that it left, more than deep marks, lessons that will last over time and be passed from generation to generation. Taking all this into consideration, Globallmed is even more prepared for new challenges, attesting to its strong capacity for resilience, largely due to the belief of its shareholders that Macau, the Greater Bay Area, in short, China is a land of the future. Globallmed assumes its unique characteristics, based on the diversity of those who seek, and also those who offer the best in healthcare. Evidence-based medicine is the motto and is what more and more customers trust. GLOBALLMED Medical Centre #trust #health #macau #quality #healthcare

IATA shared in their 2023 annual review that they’re working on new standards to make it easier for travelers to show they're allowed to enter a country using digital methods.📱 This means less time spent at check-in desks or gates showing papers. Airports are starting to use systems that let people board thanks to biometric identifier, but in many cases, travelers still have to prove their admissibility with paper documentation. 🪪 With Amadeus Traveler Ready, travel companies can automatize and digitalize this verification process, removing all the unnecessary manual frictions and associated queues across the journey. 🕒 Want to know more about this and other solutions? Anything that makes business travellers’ lives easier and reduces friction when they are on the road has to be a good thing. Biometric technology has long been seen as the gateway to significantly improving the experience of getting through an airport and especially avoiding long queues at immigration. 2024 could mark a new watershed in this process with the introduction of new technology at European airports and transport hubs, including Frankfurt airport, which is installing facial recognition systems across all terminals. This type of biometric tech is already being used at airport e-gates in Australia and Dubai. Expect many more biometric developments this year. #businesstravelmanagement #travelmanagement #travelmanagementcompany #destinationmanagementcompany #corporatetravelmanagers #corporatetravelcompany #destinationmanagement #riskmanagementtravel #globalmobility #travelvisas #traveldocuments #travelriskmanagementcompany #travelmanagementservices #leisuretravel
