Here's how you can strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to boost your chances of promotion.
Work to have talk around the water cooler - in-person or virtually. The more natural 'collisions' you have, the more you can broaden your network internally. This typically yields more familiarity for work projects and relatedness outside of work. Leverage employee engagement tools, apps and communication systems to deepen connections and *add* to culture - or even better yet become a "Culture Carrier". From there, seek out mentors, informally or formally. If formal programs don't exist, find 1-2 people who can help you understand company dynamics and growth paths.

Here's how you can strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to boost your chances of promotion.
Practice may not make perfect, but it certainly does make progress. I take the approach of getting 1% better every day. Even if you are confident in your performance, there is always room for improvement. At the end of 1:1's or informal conversations, ask the other person: "what's one thing I could be doing better?" or "I'm always looking to improve. Do you mind providing 1 or 2 specific examples or areas that I could make this [initiative/project/issue/item] better?". Another take: "what could I be doing differently?". Ask this to a variety of stakeholders to get well-rounded feedback.

Here's how you can strengthen relationships with key stakeholders to boost your chances of promotion.
A mentor of mine advised me, "work to *facilitate* for others." I took that to mean, go out of your way to get the work done, make someone or a team's life easier, solve a challenge that would otherwise go unsolved. Stakeholders start to take notice of these things, especially as your name gets 'attached' to it (literally, or through word of mouth). All of sudden, folks associate you with getting things done in a collaborative-solution driven manner. That can yield more responsibilities, recognition and eventually a promotion.

You're leading a remote entrepreneurial team. How can you cultivate camaraderie among members?
One easy way is to make every 3rd or 4th 1 on 1 focused on personal development. It breaks up the monotony of review KPIs and Performance and focuses on the person. Bonus points for working to understand what their personal incentives are (e.g., "I want to save up to buy a house") and assessing how you're working to support those goals at work (or outside of it). From a mentoring angle, offer to connect direct reports with 1-2 stakeholders internally or externally. If nothing else to give them the opportunity to gain perspective in others' day to day. At most, it could win up being formal mentoring scenarios. Carve out time bi-weekly or at least once a month for dedicated learning topics; encourage facilitation from someone on your team

Experience Camps for Grieving Children

Children
Experience Camps are free one-week camps for boys and girls who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. It's a place where kids can laugh, cry, play, create, remember the person who died, or forget the grief that weighs them down. It's a place where they can feel "normal", because everyone there has been through something similar and understands what it's like to lose someone important to them. It's a home away from home.
