Well a referral system will give people the opportunity to refer people to you and for that you give them some reward. For example: You give a 5% discount on your monthly fee per client they bring in. 🔥 So now your existing customers will be able to be lead generators for you! In my opinion there are no downsides to having a referral system. It will never cost you if it doesn't bring in 💸 So Yes, you should use it, but don't make it your biggest priority. Accelerators are indeed the lifeblood for early-stage startups, providing not just the crucial financial support but also invaluable mentorship, networking opportunities, and operational resources. These programs serve as the launchpad for startups, helping them navigate challenges and connect with investors, which is essential for their growth and success. Malta's strategic location in the Mediterranean, coupled with a concerted effort by organizations like PEVCA Malta surely gives the island a great opportunity to attract and nurture global startups. By fostering a robust accelerator ecosystem, we can create a thriving environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. Even so we need to ensure that these accelerators are well-supported and sustainable in the long term. This means not only increasing the number of accelerators but also enhancing their quality and the scope of resources they offer. And we need to ensure that startups feel that there is a strong enough environment to sustain them once they graduate from those accelerators should they opt to stay in Malta. This means access to venture capital - for which I (humbly) believe we at GO Ventures are playing a pivotal role as one of the few CVCs on the island - but also access to the right talent to help them grow. Still, I agree that this is an exciting time and it will be interesting to see what opportunities it presents for startups worldwide. I'm also interested to see how PEVCA Malta evolves over the coming months. Is it possible to launch a business that is 100x easier to succeed that a Saas/app in a few days? I read John Rush's post last week about how building a directory is 100x easier to succeed. So. I’m off to Spain for a holiday. I could either read a book or try to launch something like this. So... I’m going to launch a directory following his process. The process is: 1. Start small with a directory. 2. Look at the directory audience and sell small services to them. (link to the post in the comments) I have two ideas for directories: 1. Something that doesn’t exist and could help my existing ventures. 2. A fashion trend that is growing in search volume but is relatively untouched by SEO. Wish me luck. At EU-Startups Summit, hundreds of early startupers and investors are gathered. As I am about to leave Malta and return to Barcelona, my key takeaway is that AI is in every discussion. Even speakers who aren’t in that field are questioned on changes generated by the surge of AI in all aspects of their business. To be honest, I find it a little excessive. While I don’t deny nor ignore the changes, I agree with what I heard a smart guest saying : “start with formulating the real need of your client. Then you can think about the answer and explore if AI can help. AI is not a product. PitchBook have released findings from a new survey conducted in partnership with Web Summit at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. The survey was completed by 100 global VC investors attending the conference. It seems that although the European VC market has shown resilience in 2024, with a steady recovery in exits and continued capital flow into high-growth sectors like AI, SaaS, and life sciences, overall deal value is below last year, and some sectors are facing challenges amid shifting regulatory and market conditions. Meanwhile, venture debt in Europe has already surpassed 2023 totals, providing essential financing to support growth-stage companies. Something we're certainly witnessing in Manchester. Here are the key takeaways. 1. AI’s Dominance: 43% of investors believe AI/ML will be the most disruptive technology over the next 5-10 years, reflecting continued enthusiasm for AI’s transformative potential 2. Cautious Fundraising Optimism: 43% of investors expect the fundraising environment to slightly improve over the next 12 months, signaling optimism despite economic headwinds. 3. When evaluating investment opportunities, investors prioritize both the executive team’s experience and pedigree (26%) as well as business model strength (26%), followed by growth potential (24%), underscoring a focus on leadership quality and sustainable business fundamentals. 4. Limited market size (47%) and an inexperienced founding team (46%) are the top red flags for investors, emphasizing the importance of market viability and team quality. 5. Environmental impact plays a significant role in investment decisions, with 42% of investors prioritizing regulatory compliance and 41% looking for companies that drive positive environmental innovation, showing a shift toward proactive sustainability efforts. 6. Gender diversity remains a focus, with 70% of investors surveyed having made at least one investment in women-led startups in the past 18 months. As someone who has been deeply involved in real estate projects, I think Rent2Cash is an amazing idea that could truly transform the rental market. €4 per B2B lead from Facebook. Facebook may be go to find small businesses. Used by business owners themselves. Used for client support, lead generation. I was asked to find B2B leads in Lithuania. Construction companies. I created a form calling them out. Created 10 eye catching images on midjourney. It took 15 minutes. Created 10 images ads with Canva. Took another 15 minutes. How did it go? Got B2B leads for €4. Ad was simple. Showing construction site. Headline was tailored to them too. And they felt the offer was for them. They signed up. And I love Facebook forms. They have people’s information. So they just need to answer couple of questions on the form. And accept form submission with their contacts. How to nurture the leads? Make.com automation. All leads get SMS 2 minutes after leaving their info. Reminding of the offer. Saying someone will soon be in touch. Saying they will soon receive an offer. This builds trust and reminds them. 15 minutes later, they receive an email with an offer. Again, this acts as a reminder. Flow looks professional. Everything is happening smoothly. You are delivering on your promises. The leads are added to CRM, sales people can start calling them. Usually they call 1-3 hours after submission. So prospect has already gotten SMS and skimmed email proposal. Some credibility was build. Prospect lowers down it’s guard. Chance of selling grows. How do you get B2B leads?

Ecom founders - if your CRO guy is giving you a guarantee like " % CVR increase or 100% money back guarantee" is Scamming you. Because if you don't reach your CVR goal, Very likely - You'll not get your money back. Its like your Fanancial Advisor telling you Give me $10K i'll get back $1,000,000 to you in 1 year You know what happens then..... There are a million things outside of your CRO strategist control, which is in your control as a founder, You need to Build, Test and Optimize again and again To reach your goal. There's no set on the stone way to covert above 10% CVR Keep on Testing....
