Project premise:

Basic engineering must define a preliminary constructability strategy to minimize

the impact on production during construction.

Scope of constructability analysis:

The scope of this constructability analysis is to generate information with the

participation of the project team, in: planning, design, purchasing, construction
and start-up of the facilities; that can significantly improve the scope of project
objectives, directly related to safety, quality, operation, maintenance,
production, completion date or others, by identifying savings in time and costs in
a timely manner.

Constructibility seeks to identify optimizations and practical improvements from

the early stages of the Project with the tendency to provide engineering
solutions that take into account the Constructibility, Operability and
Maintenance of the infrastructure.

Objective of the constructability study:

With the implementation of Constructibility in a timely and structured manner,

positive impacts can be achieved in terms of savings in costs and execution times
of work, the importance of decision making is established and it can contribute
significantly to zero accident policies. .
- Present the construction strategy proposed by the company in order to
analyze and evaluate the execution sequences, obstacles and
simultaneity of work fronts, the main assembly and construction
operations, which will occur for the contractor during the execution of
the project.
- Validate the technical construction aspects that must be considered to
meet the established start-up goals in time, cost, programming, safety
and environment.
- Establish the minimum general requirements or provisions necessary for
the construction of works in all their specialties.
- Define responsibilities and construction methods in order to guarantee
operability, safety, constructability and the expected quality, during and
after the execution of the work.
- Minimize risks to the contractor's contractors.
- Requirements to start construction (Licenses / Socialization / Materials /
Contracts).
- Analyze the availability of areas for access.
- Analyze and comment on the interferences detected and critical points in
the area to intervene.
- Review the Project's contracting/construction execution strategy.
- Verify the status of purchases of required materials that allow
compliance with the Project objectives and establish options and/or
alternatives for the arrival of critical materials (if any).
- Propose strategies that allow optimizing construction times.
- Identify and/or establish temporary storage locations for materials and
machinery equipment to be used in the Project.
- Generate ideas to identify specific project issues and discuss lessons
learned applicable to the project.

Considerations that will impact the project execution strategy

1. How is the project structured in the planning, design, purchasing,

transportation, construction and start-up of the facilities? (To identify
developmental problems and see what risk is assumed)
2. What times have been contemplated or evaluated in the planning,
design, purchasing, transportation, construction and start-up of the
facilities?
3. What mechanical care (material stresses it resists), dimensions and
weight does the compressor contemplate?
4. What transport route is contemplated?

Moments of constructability analysis:

- Uninstall compressors:
 Take the compressor out of service
 Disconnection and verification of instrumentation and piping.
 Clear area of each compressor for compressor lift activity
- Transfer from the compressors to the transport area:
 Crane location and crane safety logistics
 Tie down and secure the transfer of the equipment
 Evaluate weather conditions and safety assessment by the crane
 Raise equipment to safe height and stabilize it
 Unload equipment in the given area.
- Modifications in the connections of the facilities for commissioning.
 Assess instrumentation alignment
 Locate new equipment for installation
 Locate and assemble and test instrumentation and piping for
connection to the equipment
 Construction and start-up verification of plant and equipment
 Perform operation tests
- Load the compressors into the transport vehicle.
 Locate transportation and transportation logistics
 Raise the load and stabilize it at transport height
 Prepare the transport for unloading the equipment
 Equipment packaging to protect its integrity
 Unloading the equipment at the site determined for your trailer
- Transport the compressors
 Check road conditions before transportation
 Monitor the equipment along the track
 Assess the load and the vehicle during the transport route
- Unload the compressors from the transport vehicle.
- Transfer of the compressors to the installation area
- Modifications to the connections of the facilities for the operation of the
compressors.

The needs for a constructability analysis will increase as well as the opportunities
as you progress through the project life cycle.
The following diagram highlights what is required in each of the phases:
Considerations in constructability analysis:
