new lesson/Presentation Arnel’s father is a fisherman. Sometimes, he helps him catch fish in the sea. One day, while they were fishing in the vast ocean,
they came across a pod of dolphins. The sea creatures were happily playing with each other in the water. One of them even swam
near their boat and let Arnel touch its head. Arnel was indeed happy with his experience that day. He hopes to see his sea friends
again.

Plants like people and animals also need protection. Plants have specialized structures to protect themselves from their enemies.
Aside from rose, other plants that have thorns on their stem are calamansi, euphorbia, and bougainvillea. Do you know other
plants that have thorns?
Plants that have hairy structure are itchy like squash leaves, is-is leaves, lipang aso stem, and mabolo fruit. Can you name other
plants that have hairy structures?
Not all plants have thorns and hair.
