Basically INDIA: On Maps

Preface
Dear Readers,

It is a great pleasure in presenting the first edition of this book.

As named “Basically INDIA: On Maps”, the book is full of maps and
information about India. This book tries to cover the basic knowledge
about our country. Trying to cover the length and breadth of India, for
example- the mountains, peaks, waterfalls, rivers, forests etc. The
National Parks are covered extensively in the chapter on Forest and
Wildlife.

Each chapter of the book has been compiled with utmost care. The
book is spread across the dimension of geography, environment, energy,
economy and culture. As visual learning is easier to understand, the maps
would be helpful in locating the approximate position of the places on
the map of India. The information has been tried to keep short and to the
point.

I am thankful to my family and friends for their support and

suggestions. The feedback from the readers is heartily welcome.

Disclaimer: Despite having taken all care, some factual mistakes or

printing errors might creep in. Neither the author nor the publisher of the
book holds any responsibility for any such mistakes.

Thanking You,

Nitesh KR
