A Syllabus in Physical Education 2 via ONLINE CLASS

Rhythmic Activity

Credit Units : 2 Degree Program : All courses

Academic Term: 2nd Semester A.Y. 2020-2021 Instructor : Mr. John Vincent A. Estoce

Course Description:

This course deals with online class of rhythmic activities. If focuses on different types of dances such as folk, ballroom and creative dances.
Participation in culminating activity is required of students enrolled in this course. Students are encourage to join department interest groups such
as dance troupe and dance club to enable them to participate in local and international social cultural activities.

General Objectives:

1. To know the salient features of the different types of dances


2. To develop basic skills in performing folk, ballroom and creation dances
3. To expose the students to a variety of rhythms and dances
4. To be aware of the significance of dance as a means of enhancing better relationship among themselves and in the community
5. To enhance the students capability for self-expression through exposure to creative group activities
Chapter 1: Rhythms Topics: Fundamentals of Rhythms Time Frame: 2 weeks

2. Firm up/ Ask the students to demonstrate the basic body movements and evaluate them according to their performance and participation
