1.Introduction to the crusher
1.1 Application

This crusher is used to crushing ores or rocks of medium hardness which

compressive strength is less than 250MPa.

2. Operation principle and construction


2.1 This crusher is mainly co mposed of frame assembly, swing jaw assembly,

toggle, pull rod spring, tie rod device, driving device and so on. The

motor drives the swing jaw to swing through triangle belt. Due to

swinging movement of the swing jaw, ores lumps fed into the crushing

cavity will be broken into pieces under the squeezing pressure and the

bending action, then discharged out of the crusher as soon as the swing

jaw departs fro m the fixed jaw plat.

Frame is welded with steel plate and casting steel parts. Front wall and

rear pedestal is made of cast steel and side wall is made of thick steel plate.

They form the frame by slag welding. The stationary jaw plate is installed in

front wall and the liners made of wearable material are fastened onto the

front part of side walls. Crushing cavity is composed of fixed jaw plate,

cheek plates and swing jaw plate.

Swing jaw is made of cast steel. Swing jaw plate is fastened onto the

swing jaw by means of wedge. Two jaw plates can be used interchangeably.

Swing jaw is suspended in the middle of eccentric shaft by two main

bearings and is suspended into the cavity of main frame. Two bearing

housings are installed on the both sides of the main frame symmetrically.

Eccentric shaft is supported on both sides of frame by bearings.

Eccentric shaft is made of forged alloy steel. Fly wheel and pulley are

fixed on the conical surface of eccentric shaft by keys. The fly wheel and

pulley are fixed at each end of eccentric shaft by means of washers and keys

to prevent axial movement.

Toggle is made of cast iron. The front end of the toggle is supported on

the die block which is under the swing jaw; the back end of the toggle

supports on the die block of back pedestal. The shims on the back end of the

toggle are used for adjusting discharge opening.

The tie-rod device is composed of pull rod and spring. One of the end of

pull rod is fixed onto the bottom of swing jaw with pin-shaft, the other end

penetrates into the spring. Spring is supported on the lower part of back

pedestal of frame through spring holder, and is compressed to an extend

with spring washer and nut to balance the inertia force due to swinging

move ment of swing jaw and to prevent the toggle from falling off.

3. Installation and operation


3.1 The crusher will be packed for sale by manufacturer. User should

check it and eliminate problems occurred in transportation before

installation.

3.2 When the crusher is fixed on the foundation, the longitudinal levelness

tolerance of base surface of the frame is not more than 0.5mm/ m, the

lateral levelness tolerance is not more than 0.15mm/ m(measured on

the main shaft).

3.3 Parts on the frame can just be installed after leveling of the frame

and screwing up the anchor bolt for the frame.

3.4 Crusher must be thoroughly checked before commissioning, and the

importance to be checked should be the tightness of fastening parts.

The proper lubrication and suitable tension of the V-belts ensure the m

working normally.

3.5 When checking the crusher, the power source must be cut off and make

a caution that someone is working now.

3.6 During test running, noload-run must be carried out for the crusher.

Noload trial can not be less than 2 hours. If there is abnormality in the

crusher, the crusher should be stopped quickly. Check the causes of

abnormalities, and the crusher can be re-started after the failures are

eliminated.

3.7 When on-load test run is carried out, ores should be fille d into the

crushing cavity evenly with distributor from half-load to full-load. If

size of ores fed into the crusher is oversize, ores falling into crushing

cavity, wear and damage to the crusher will be accelerated. So it is

very important to prevent large ore lumps and foreign material from

falling into crushing cavity and keep even feeding into the crusher.

3.8 When the crusher is in normal operation, temperature of bearing

should be under 70℃ . If temperature is higher than the regular one,

stop the crusher immediately, and find out the cause, then eliminate

the defects.

3.9 When the crusher stops, first stop the feeding. After ores in the

crushing cavity are crushed completely, cut off the motor.

3.10 The crusher used a multiple-point grease pump to lubricate each part

of the crusher. Before starting grease pump or during installation, first

adjust the oil supplying quantity of parts which does not need

lubricating to adjust to zero, or to screw out the whole part. Take out

the inner piston, and cover the plug. It is recommended to use valium

grease. When using sodium grease (GB492-72) must prevent it from

damping. User can choose substitution grease according to concrete

condition. When feeding grease, the quantity of support surface of the

toggle can not be over. User can adjust grease quantity of lubricating

system.

3.11 User can change the amount of shims in rear pedestal to adjust the

discharge setting according to desired fineness of ores and wear of

toggle.

3.12 In order to adjust the discharge opening conveniently、 safely and

reliablely, this crusher uses hydraulic adjusting device which is

composed of LQD-10 hoisting device. After starting oil pump, piston

rod of hoisting device extrudes under the action of oil pressure. One

end of piston rod pushes toggle pedestal to move forwards, then insert

or take out the adjusting shims to adjust to required discharge opening.

These procedures should be done at the precondition of releasing

pull-rod spring.

3.13 Before installing fly wheel and pulley, shaft and conical surface of

wheel must be coated with grease. Axially four bolts fastened of fly

wheel and pulley should be wrenched with standard manforce (40kgf).

3.14 When cleaning or changing bearing after the crusher working for a

period, first hang the fly wheel and pulley on wire of crane, then

release axially fixed bolts. Take out washer retainer and install it

reversely. The fly wheel and pulley are departed from conical surface

and removed by means of bolts.

3.15 When changing jaw plate, concrete should be poured onto the back of

fixed and swing jaw plate. Pouring layer of concrete should be 5mm

higher than supporting surface of jaw plate. During the initial use of

new jaw plate, its tightness should be checked frequently.

5. Safety production
5.1 Users can decide operation programme of crusher by the mselves

according to concrete condition.

5.2 During operation of crusher, any repairing to the crusher is inhibited.

5.3 For the sake of safety, rotating parts (fly wheel and pulley) of the

crusher should be fitted with protective hood (prepared by users).

5.4 There should not be noises during no-load running of the crusher. If

there is dash sound, it indicates that tightening of rod spring is

inadequate or tightening bolts loosen. The crusher should be stopped

immediately and checked, then the failures should be eliminated

5.5 Check frequently whether fastening parts are loose, temperature of

bearings are normal, and all lubricating parts are lubricated by grease.
