Are you a planner or someone who wings it? Having been both of these types of people, I can tell you from my own experience, that when I've had successful years - I've planned. I'm not talking about spending weeks or even days on a plan of attack for 2025, but a good few hours, to reflect, strategise, research & come up with metrics to hold yourself accountable will DO YOU SOOOOOO MUCH GOOD when you get back to your desk in 2025. Personally in my early years of recruitment, when I've not planned at the end of the year, I've come back in to the office in Jan feeling overwhelmed and a bit defeated. The hill looks too large to climb without knowing what steps you're going to take. So do yourself a favour and pop some time aside, grab a coffee (or wine depending on time), and do some planning! Let's talk Time to Hire - some companies are making this best in class, but many others could improve. 🤷♀️ A recent survey found that 62% of professionals lose interest in a job if they hear nothing from the employer within two weeks. That number rises to 77% if there is no status update within three weeks. So why are we not mapping the process out from beginning to end to create competitive advantage? Make every step the best it can be🥇 Impress people with your efficiency 🥂 Win potential customers with how slick you are 🎁 But please don't get to the point of making an offer to a candidate and then have to get budget approval! What else could we improve?
