Who should adapt more: Candidate or Company? I see a lot of talk about holding companies accountable to fit every candidate’s mold, especially in hiring. While it’s true that companies should support diverse backgrounds and perspectives, the reality is that a successful hire, especially in a fast-paced, results driven field like sales… It’s about balance. It’s not just about whether the company “fits” the individual; it’s also about whether the individual is ready to adapt, grow, and align with the company’s needs. In sales, where the pressure to perform and adapt is high, it feels closer to a 50/50 partnership. Candidates should bring unique skills and a willingness to mold themselves to the role’s demands.
