Next Thursday 10, October the Red Hat Summit Connect is happening in Madrid, with a lot of sessions and tech talks in an amazing atmosphere of collaboration, technology and having fun of Open Source. if you are attending, we have some challenges prepared for you. This year there are a set of uLabs (micro labs) where you can learn in less of 5 minutes great things about: - Red Hat Developer Hub and how easy is to create an application with a full pipeline to deploy on OpenShift. - Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and how easy is to backup and restore a virtual machine. - Red Hat OpenShift Ai and how easy is to deploy a model to recognize photos of crashed cars. Do you accept the challenge? I will wait you there to enjoy with these labs and learn new things. Don't miss it! #redhatsummitconnect #opensource #labs #openshift #devex #virtualization #ai #fun

Cost-aware inference is important, but currently LLM prompts are not interoperable. Prompts that work good on one LLM may show worse performance on the other, even more advanced LLM or even on the different versions of the same LLM. Once interoperability problem is solved it will also be possible to implement cost-aware inference that strategically manages computational resources for prompt processing, ensuring sustainable costs. This approach includes model routing https://www.notdiamond.ai/ - automatically selecting the most appropriate model for each task. Startups in this area are actively supported by the industry veterans.

When you achieve something it feels great, when you start something new it is exciting, when you create rapidly with a group of cross-skilled individuals it is extremely gratifying. As many great startups began in a garage, so do many IBM projects, from idea to MVP, prototype to scale. Agility, market reach, and viability are all in the practices that you incorporate in the tasks many call a job. Very proud and excited to have participated and continue to build my understanding of the #IBMGarage solution framework. #IBM #Garage #AI #ArtificialIntelligence

As always no fixed agenda, but lots of space to interact, engage and learn from peers. Those are the topics: 1. Roast my Architecture - Bring your architecture and receive feedback from peers 2. Insist on the Highest Standards - how do you make sure that your work, code, architecture, decisions are high quality? 3. Remote or On Site - What are the pros/cons, How is it done in your company 4. Security - what are the measures (tech and processes) you have in place that your company / workload is secure? 5. GenAI - what kind of application works for you, what are your “think big” ideas? You will meet folks from Bitpanda Tractive Bikemap Eversports warrify TourRadar goUrban PlanRadar GoStudent GmbH Metaloop Journi and many more! How do we build software products nowadays? Or maybe a better question is, is the way we are building software good enough? In my domain of project management, I experience the full journey from an idea to product and that journey is never a straight line! The journey also involves multiple stakeholders at different capacities, multiple tools, multiple processes. And the results often are failed projects, over budget projects, growing maintenance costs or unmet customer needs. We have been so inspired by our own failures and so passionate about enabling software companies to deliver the right functionality the first time. My colleagues made a video that best explains what we do and how we help our customers 🚀 #productdevelopment #softwaredevelopment #projectmanagement #startups

🚀 It's not Rocket Science - Insight Session #1! 🚀 🔍 It's been quite the journey filled with ups, downs, and a ton of learning curves. Today, I'm thrilled to share some insights from our adventure in the tech realm, since the time has come for us finally stepping into the limelight! 🌟 💡 First off, let's talk IT infrastructure: We started out riding the waves of VPS hosting and cloud services, but guess what? We're shaking things up by building from scratch with our very own private cloud spanning through multiple countries with dozens of physical machines being build and interconnected 📚 But that's where it gets interesting. As someone with a pure economics background, diving into the nitty-gritty of physical servers and computer networking was a wild ride. But you know what? The challenge is what makes it all worthwhile. 💪 💻 Just wrapped up a one-week hackathon - it was a whirlwind based on sleep deprivation and lots of Monster energy drinks! Setting up over 100 virtual machines per server to deploy our applications was no small feat, neither was dealing with the associated errors day in day out 🛠️ And speaking of challenges, shoutout to the Thomas Lange from the University of Cologne for his fully automatic installation tool. It's been quite a lifesaver for creating those troublesome ISO images 🎉 So here's to new beginnings, to pushing boundaries, and to embracing every hurdle along the way. Here's to growth, learning, and making our mark in this ever-evolving tech landscape Let's keep the momentum going! 💥 #TechJourney #Innovation #StartupLife #Cypsec #tech #startup #business #developing

Startup probes are like liveness probes, but are only used for determining if an application has finished starting and is ready for the liveness probe to take over for checking the status. #kubernetes
