Next Thursday 10, October the Red Hat Summit Connect is happening in Madrid, with a lot of sessions and tech talks in an amazing atmosphere of collaboration, technology and having fun of Open Source. if you are attending, we have some challenges prepared for you. This year there are a set of uLabs (micro labs) where you can learn in less of 5 minutes great things about: - Red Hat Developer Hub and how easy is to create an application with a full pipeline to deploy on OpenShift. - Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and how easy is to backup and restore a virtual machine. - Red Hat OpenShift Ai and how easy is to deploy a model to recognize photos of crashed cars. Do you accept the challenge? I will wait you there to enjoy with these labs and learn new things. Don't miss it! #redhatsummitconnect #opensource #labs #openshift #devex #virtualization #ai #fun

KubeCon Europe 2024 in Paris was an incredible experience, filled with insightful talks and valuable discussions 🚀🚀🚀 Reflecting the widespread excitement, AI/ML emerged as a hot topic, mirroring the evolving trends in the CNCF landscape. 💡💡These two talks were my favorites this year💡💡 1.) "The Rendered Manifests Pattern: Reveal Your True Desired State" by Nicholas M. from Akuity - Secure, Scalable and Simpler Argo. This talk introduced a forward-thinking GitOps pattern where branches are read interfaces for Teams holding immutable artifacts of the current state representing the source of truth for each environment with hydrated manifests. This approach decreases the risks of runtime rendering and increases visibility and confidence deploying changes to your infrastructure. 2.) "Securing 900 Kubernetes Clusters Without PSP - Mercedes-Benz' Journey to Validating Admission Policies" by Tjark Rasche and Tobias Giese from Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation. They shared their journey away from Pod Security Policies, showcasing significant gains in flexibility and performance with Validating Admission Policies compared to OPA/Gatekeeper and Kyverno. The talk included compelling quantitative benchmarks. Highly recommend checking out these talks for deeper insights! #kubecon2024 #gitops #kubernetes

In the closing keynote, David Kelly shares that we can achieve more level 1 uses of doing what we do today in “training” with AI. However David Kelly alludes to more level 2 uses of AI in our daily actions to achieve perfomance goals and learning … that’s the real game changer
CEO & Chief Learning Strategist | Transforming Learning & Development Solutions for Lasting Impact | Focused on Growth & Excellence | Avid Runner | P&G & PepsiCo Alum
At #devlearn, It’s not about using tech to “do what we do now” but about how we can use tech to achieve new goals. We need to look behind the facade of the offerings … Ask what problems does the technology solve that we can’t do today says David Kelly

I'm thrilled to announce that my team, Panacea, has emerged victorious in the TIDE GEN.AI.SYS Hackathon! Over the past two months, this Generative AI Hackathon has brought together over 170 teams from around the globe, showcasing incredible creativity, innovation, and determination. The hackathon aimed to raise awareness about Generative AI and explore its diverse applications across Dell Digital. Our problem statement was to enhance operational orchestration by leveraging Generative AI to build dynamic support systems that adapt and evolve, providing responsive and reliable end-to-end solutions. Guided by our leadership's vision to harness the full potential of Generative AI and supported by practices like Behavior-Driven Development and Test-Driven Development, we integrated these capabilities within the Dell ecosystem. Our goal was to enhance our DevOps processes pre and post-deployment through our product, iLabs. iLabs is a Gen AI-powered test automation product that analyzes user prompts and generates test suites across multiple layers, including UI, API, Cloud, Database, and Messaging. Unlike current products that offer test script generation using stories from JIRA, iLabs goes above and beyond by integrating multiple layers and generating test suites based on user prompts. This boosts product confidence with intelligent, future-ready testing. I want to thank my teammates, Rohan Sharma and Naga Sruti Allamraju, for their hard work and dedication to this project. Our combined efforts have truly made this event a remarkable journey and an extraordinary success. Thank you to everyone involved in the TIDE GEN.AI.SYS Hackathon for this incredible experience. TIDE (Technology and Innovation for Digital Excellence) continues to foster innovation and technology disruption that matters to the business. #Hackathon #GenerativeAI #Innovation #Technology #TeamAchievement #DellDigital #iLabs #DevOps #TestAutomation #AI #DigitalTransformation

Last week’s KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon Europe 2024 was incredible and full of great insights. Here is our quick recap of the event in case you missed it! 🤖 Extensive focus on #AI: A lot of content explored AI's central role in enhancing code generation, development, and documentation, and how to leverage AI at an infinite scale, simplifying complex DevOps actions. However, attendees’ interests were more focused on today's problems. 🎪 A very well attended and vibrant show: Our team was giving demos of our newest products, #Lens 2024, #k0s and #k0smotron, from the beginning to end of each day of the event, non stop. We learned from companies of all sizes, from every industry – from innovative software service and product developers, to highly regulated banks and governments, to hospitality, manufacturing and retail players. 🌕 The industry has matured: Many topics were around deployment at scale, #FinOps, resource management, and green IT. Globally, it's fewer hacks and more mature, enterprise-grade deployments at large scale. ➕ Bonus: #DevOps is evolving with a focus on platform engineering and #APIOps, using AI for more efficient API management to cut costs and speed up delivery. Observability was also a popular topic with OpenTelemetry becoming mature and more widely adopted. Plus, security and compliance are becoming more critical due to regulatory changes in the European region. Thanks for the great teamwork on site and to everyone who came to our booth!
