Re-posting for reach. Further research, development, and demonstration of high-capacity high-power charging installations with Vehicle Grid Integration (VGI) strategies for electrified MHDVs will be critical to meet these goals while ensuring equipment interoperability, mitigation of grid impacts, improving grid resiliency and reliability, and creating downward pressure on electricity rates.

I’m thrilled to share news about a $72 million funding program for SuperTruck Charge, which will enable the design, development, and demonstration of innovative electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in support of electrified medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDVs) at depots and truck stops. It also explores how integrated planning for EVs enhances grid resiliency and reliability. We are identifying potential solutions to address the current gaps in electrified MHDV charging infrastructure, enabling greater utilization of electrified fleets, reducing fueling costs, and drastically reducing emissions. The SuperTruck Charge funding program supplements the ongoing SuperTruck 3 program, with an emphasis on demonstrating infrastructure to meet the needs of these new trucks and accelerate the widespread buildout of high-power charging infrastructure. Concept papers are due October 8th. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e3pEswSk
