The results are in! 📊 Last week, we asked how you prefer to hear from a recruiter, and here’s what you told us: - 📞 Phone Call:48% prefer the personal touch of a phone conversation. - 📧 Email: 34% like the convenience of email communication. - 💼 LinkedIn Message: 14% are comfortable connecting on LinkedIn. - 📲 Text Message: 3% prefer a quick text. It’s clear that a phone call remains the preferred method, with email close behind & this to us reinforces the importance of tailoring our approach to meet each candidate’s preferences, making sure we connect in a way that feels right for them💡 At Engage, we’re always listening and adapting to make the hiring process smoother and more personalised for everyone 🤝 Thank you to everyone who voted! 🙌 Let us know in the comments if you prefer other methods of recruitment ⬇️ #pollresults #recruiting #recruitmentagency #recruitmentindustry #jobadvertisement #hiring

We're curious to know: What's your preference when it comes to a recruiter contacting you? Do you prefer the traditional route of email, where you can carefully craft your response and include all necessary information? Are you more comfortable with a phone call, where you can have a real-time conversation and ask questions on the spot? Do you prefer messaging platforms like LinkedIn, where you can easily view the recruiter's profile and respond at your convenience? Or perhaps you're a fan of text messages, for their quick and informal nature? #Recruiting #CommunicationPreferences"

💡 #Recruiters, take note – this is how it should be done! 🙌 I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing this, but I received an email today that really stood out. It wasn’t one of those AI-generated, “Hello, [first_name]” messages that we’ve all grown used to. Most of the time, I glance at emails and think, “I don’t have a need right now,” but this one actually caught my attention. Tim took the time to read my profile, understand my role and my company, and didn’t resort to the generic, “How’s it going as [insert your entire job title here]?” Love, love, LOVE this approach. It was so refreshing, I ended up reaching out! 👏 Take notes, recruiters – personalisation goes a long way! Messaging recruiters is NOT enough. (If you want to land a $170k+ role in this market) I know, I know. Career coaches love talking about how to slide into recruiters’ DMs. (I hate it, too) Generic “put yourself out there” advice 😢 Not if you’re playing in the big leagues. So what do you really need to do? You need to build a spider web of connections. For every company you target, reach out to: - Recruiters - Peers - Hiring managers And, anyone else with a say in the hiring process. Build a team of people who can champion your application to the recruiter. This is exactly what our VP of Marketing client did. • She used the DM scripts we gave • She reached out to decision-makers • She tailored her message for each one She had a whole army of people championing her. Result? 👉🏻 She applied for that job on Friday. 👉🏻 By Monday, she had an interview lined up. That's the power of networking like a pro. I’m giving away our DM script for reaching out to recruiters for FREE, This DM script has helped 280+ senior professionals land their $170k+ roles in under 4 months. 📌 If you’re interested, DM me ‘SCRIPT’ and I'll send it!

Contrary to popular belief, people are answering their phones. Call, text, email—is still the name of the game in the recruiting world. There’s no substitute for real, human connections. 📞 Below are a few things that we recruiters love to hear "Nobody answers phone calls anymore "Cold calling is dead, everyone prefers emails now "Texting candidates? That's unprofessional "Social media is the only way to reach people these days "Candidate experience doesn't depend on personal interaction "Networking events are outdated, everything's digital "Phone calls are invasive and unnecessary "People are too busy to answer calls from unknown numbers "Recruiting is all about automation, not human connection Did I overlook anything? Feel free to add it in the comments below. 👇 #Recruiting #RecruitmentStrategies #CandidateExperience #HumanConnection #PhoneCalls

Emails are a fine way to get responses from candidates… but if you solely rely on emails to reach them, you’re missing out! Texting isn’t just faster; it’s smarter. Here’s why: ✨ Speed: Texts are read in minutes, not days. ✨ Engagement: A quick text feels personal and direct. ✨ Convenience: Candidates reply on the go, making communication seamless. ✨ Response Rates: Texting crushes email with higher response rates. In recruitment, every second counts. Ditch the slow email game and start texting your candidates for faster, more engaging responses. #recruitingtips #recruitingstrategy #recruitmenttexting #hrtech #recruitmenttech #hiring #hiringtips

If you want to become a better recruiter, a better salesperson, a better colleague or boss make this one improvement and really focus on it... Communicate better I know that seems like a "duh" thing to say but most try implementing new processes or increasing call #'s and working harder to improve results when all they really needed to do in the first place is become a better communicator. Review how you leave messages, review your emails, audit the prior conversations and if you've felt you left results on the table and start by simply change up the message. Maybe it's something as simple as A/B testing two different versions and see what gets you better results. Taking a long email/message and simplifying it may be your answer. Maybe it's taking a stuffy sounding message and relaxing the tone. In many cases, I confidently feel you just need to say the same thing differently and that will stand out. Many you reach out to get the same/similar emails all day long. Don't be corny with it but just use different words, be sincere and deliver a unique message and you should start seeing better results in no time!
