What option is best for communicating? It depends on the audience. As recruiters we are in constant communication with both candidates and clients. There are so many different options when it comes to communicating with each other. Text, Email, Phone calls, messaging apps, DMs etc. One thing we discuss regularly here at SCN - Search Consulting Network is communicating in a way that works best for your audience. What's your preferred method to communicate? #scn #call #text #email #slack #recruiting #wearehiringnow

I've helped 9-figure brands fill multiple C-suite roles. Just posting a job ad is an old school method. Instead companies should: - Headhunt for the right skills - Build a rapport with candidates - Use recruiters to expand the pool - Be open to recommendations - Look at results not just age Job boards are good to an extent. But they shouldn't be your whole hiring strategy. My advice? Get speaking to people 👏🏻 Don't have the time? Hire an expert who does it for a living. I can help! 🙌 P.S. You can't complain about not finding amazing people, because there are DEFINITELY those people out there.

I've been noticing a lot of aggressive hiring posts on LinkedIn lately. Out of curiosity, I wonder—how does adding a Gmail address to the post really help in managing applicants? 🤔 Wouldn't it make more sense to use a simple form builder that consolidates all applications into one place for easy review by the hiring manager later? Feels like a more efficient approach. What are your thoughts on this? #hiring #recruitment #efficiency #formbuilder #hiringtips

The worst part about job-hunting: spending hours on an application and never hearing back. For our latest support role, we used the new Fillout Approvals to make sure every applicant gets a response: 1. New applications arrive in Slack with 1-click approve/reject/snooze 2. Approved candidates get a Fillout scheduling link to book an interview. 3. Rejected candidates are notified via email. 4. We track "rejection reasons" for future role potential My favorite part: You can make this entire workflow on the Fillout free tier. No limit on # of users. I've seen ATS software that costs $1000s a month for a similar workflow!

🚀 Pro Tip for Tech Job Seekers! 🚀 Having email addresses for different types of things is smart. Having a Proton Mail for secure communication is awesome. I have a different email address for LinkedIn, and one for Discord, another one for Battle Net, etc. It's handy to keep comms separate and such, for both security and convenience. When talking to your recruiter or hiring agency though, stick to one email! ATS's are able to handle multiple emails, but if you fall into an automation piece and don't check the email you initially shared with the agency, you will end up getting lost in the process and retrieving your application will take longer. Meaning you may miss being hired for a role due to a lack of response. At G2i we take great efforts to maintain comms with candidates, and I personally saw this issue as a way to give the heads up that you may not have gotten a response from your recruiter due to it having gone to a separate address! I hope this helps 🙌 #TechRecruitment #CareerTips #JobHunting #RecruitmentAdvice #JobSearchTips

Is LinkedIn's "Easy Apply" Button Killing Traditional Hiring? The allure of one-click applications is undeniable, but are we sacrificing quality for quantity? Consider this: 〰️ 92% of candidates drop off during the application process 〰️Easy Apply bypasses tailored messages to the hiring team 〰️Recruiters are flooded with unqualified applicants 〰️ATS systems may not properly parse Easy Apply submissions While Easy Apply streamlines the process for job seekers, it creates new challenges for employers (and frustrations for applicants): • Limited candidate information • Difficulty assessing work/life fit • Increased screening time • Potentially missing out on top talent Is the convenience worth the trade-offs? Or are we devaluing the art of thoughtful applications and meaningful connections? What's your take? Has Easy Apply helped or hindered your hiring efforts? #RecruitmentTrends #HiringChallenges #LinkedInEasyApply

Best automated email I have ever received from a job application: "Thank you for your interest in joining the xxx team. We have received your application.... Although we would like to speak to every applicant, only those selected to move forward will be contacted within 3 business days." There is also a link to learn more about the company (which I had already reviewed!), and an (actual) inspirational quote from the CEO. I appreciated the brevity, the inspiration, and the specificity. I am sharing this in appreciation as an applicant. #recruiters #AutomatedEmails #recruitinghack #applyingforjobssucks #hireme #transparencyinhiring

As a recruiter, there are countless tools that can make our jobs easier. But there's one simple tool that changed the game for me, and it’s probably not what you’d think. No, it didn't help me find more passive candidates or those elusive Purple Squirrels. What it did was give me control of my day. That tool? Calendly (there are many others out there that work just as well). A scheduling tool that handed me the reins to my schedule and let candidates drive it. Now, I include a link to my calendar in my email signature, in sourcing text messages, and even on my LinkedIn profile. Gone are the days of back-and-forth emails trying to find a mutually convenient time. With Calendly, candidates can pick a slot that works for them from my pre-set availability. It's been over a decade since I started using it, and I can't imagine my life without it. So, if you're still managing your calendar manually, do yourself a favor and give this method a try. Your sanity will thank you. Try it out and let me know how it goes! #RecruitingTools #Calendly #WorkSmarter

💎 To the many people spamming me using automated messages asking if I want more leads, more meetings, more business, more more more........ If I find your approach obviously automated, not personalised, not original or unique, how would I expect my clients and candidates to? I'm going the other way, personalised and human approach! 🤝 #seeyouontheotherside #rec2rec #recruitment #recruiters

This year has been weird in terms of signing up new clients. There has been interest, calls, second calls, references shared, briefing chats, terms sent etc but when it comes to 'signing off' - it stalls. And I am not talking about retainers either, this is for 'success based'. Certainly a tricky time (but when hasn't it been these past 4 years) and I cannot begin to think what it's like for a candidate looking. #staystrong #recruitment #signmeupandwatchmego
