Gratitude: A Daily Practice with Extraordinary Impact 🧡🦃🍁 On this Thanksgiving Eve, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone in our network—clients, partners, colleagues, and friends. Your trust, collaboration, and support have made this year one of growth and progress, and we are truly thankful for each of you. 🙏 At Ironworks, we believe gratitude is more than just a seasonal sentiment—it’s a daily practice that shapes how we approach both challenges and opportunities. For Heidi Hoium, this practice takes the form of writing down three things she’s grateful for every morning while planning her day. ✍️🌞 This simple ritual helps shift focus to what’s already working and wonderful, creating a mindset that approaches obstacles with clarity and positivity. Does it always work perfectly? No. But doing it consistently fosters resilience and a grounded perspective over time. 💡💪 Today, as we reflect on the many things we’re grateful for, we invite you to join us in this practice. How are you cultivating gratitude in your life and work? Gratitude is a powerful force—not just for the holiday season, but for every day. It can transform your mindset, your leadership, and your relationships! Let’s finish this year strong, leading with gratitude in everything we do. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Ironworks! 🦃🍁

🦃 This Year’s Gratitude Menu: A Feast of Appreciation 🥧 As we gather around our dining tables, and giving thanks I’ve been reflecting on the incredible “ingredients” that made this year so fulfilling. Here’s what’s on my “professional” gratitude menu this Thanksgiving: ✨ 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫: Opportunities to grow, learn, and make an impact. Each challenge and project has been a stepping stone to something greater. ✨ 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞: The amazing people who fill my plate with purpose—clients, coachees, colleagues, and collaborators. Your passion and partnership inspire me every day. ✨ 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬: Small but mighty moments—shared laughs during intense days, brainstorming sessions that spark magic, and those “aha” moments that make the journey worthwhile. ✨ 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭: The sweetness of connection. Whether it’s reconnecting with old colleagues, building new relationships, or sharing life lessons, these are the moments that truly satisfy the soul. And what’s Thanksgiving without a little gravy? 🥘 Grateful for the unexpected joys and surprises that have added richness to my year. What’s on your Gratitude Menu this year? 🍽️ Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with laughter, love, and plenty of seconds (on both gratitude and your favorite food). Let’s celebrate the abundance in our lives and carry this spirit forward into 2025! #Thanksgiving2024 #GratitudeMenu #Thankful #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #Connection ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Like this? Sunday Night Thoughts: “Take a moment to appreciate the smallest things in your life as you start your day and before you end it. It could be the warmth of the sunlight on your skin, the sound of birds chirping outside your window, or the taste of your favorite morning beverage. These little things that we often overlook can bring a great deal of joy into our lives. By recognizing and being thankful for them, we can shift our focus from what we lack to what we have. This simple practice can help us cultivate a mindset of gratitude and ultimately lead to a more fulfilling and happy life.” -Leadership First. #coachtodd #gratitudeattitude #sundaynightthoughts

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 to my fellow Powerhouse Leaders! 🧡🦃 Gratitude isn’t just something you feel; it’s something you pass on and ripples from one person to the next, building trust, connection, and loyalty—on your team and beyond. Here are a couple ways to 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: ✨ Send a quick text or voice note to someone who’s had your back this year. ✨ Share one lesson you’ve learned that has made you better - this makes a great toast or dinner topic. Gratitude isn’t a once-a-year event—it’s the foundation of true, lasting impact. From my family to yours, have a beautiful Thanksgiving filled with 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗷𝗼𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

🌟 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂 Today, as we gather around tables and in the warmth of our loved ones’ company, let’s pause to embrace the power of gratitude and purpose. Gratitude reminds us of the beauty in what we already have, grounding us in humility and joy. Purpose pushes us forward, giving us the strength to keep striving, growing, and leading. 📝 Here are three ways to cultivate gratitude and purpose this season: 1️⃣ Reflect on Your Wins: Big or small, acknowledge the strides you’ve made this year. Each step forward is a testament to your resilience. 2️⃣ Celebrate the People Around You: From colleagues to family, the relationships in our lives fuel our journeys. Let them know how much they matter. 3️⃣ Revisit Your ‘Why’: In the hustle of leadership and life, remember why you started. Purpose gives our work meaning and makes our efforts worthwhile. 🧡 Wishing you and yours a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and reflection. 👉🏽What’s one thing you’re especially grateful for this year? Share below—I’d love to celebrate with you! #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #PurposefulLeadership #FaithInAction #LeadershipJourney

🦃I BEG YOUR PARDON? 🍗Each year, the U.S. president pardons a turkey in a quirky Thanksgiving tradition. While this ritual might seem purely symbolic (and a little odd), it serves as a reminder of something deeper: every decision has an impact—even if it’s not always immediately visible. 📈At Exemplary Performance, we examine what separates good from great and identify the small but critical actions that drive excellence. Much like how this lighthearted ceremony highlights one turkey among many, our Role Excellence Profile methodology uncovers the behaviors and accomplishments that elevate top performers above the rest, leveraging those insights to drive team-wide business results. 🍁This Thanksgiving, as we reflect on traditions and gratitude, let’s also think about the practices we "pardon" within our teams versus the ones we spotlight to create lasting success. ❓What are the high-impact actions you want to elevate in your organization? Let’s make those the standard. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving season!

How about her use of poetic language like "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life ...?" I want to write with that spirit and those skills! Thanksgiving is my favorite celebration of the year. No (or very little beyond pumpkin spice!) consumerism, just an opportunity to be with friends and families to celebrate gratitude around a meal. Some of those meals are sumptuous banquets; others simple feasts; some made at home; some in restaurants; some in a box from generous friends … even from those you'll never meet. Gathering around a meal in celebration is common in diverse countries, religions and cultures. Taking a moment to go around your table and asking each person "What are you grateful for and how does it show up in your life?” is a powerful and heartwarming exercise. Listening closely to those messages can change your experience of life for the better. Happy Thanksgiving from my table to yours.
