As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the incredible power of gratitude. Over the years as a leader, I've come to realize that appreciating the people around us is not just about acknowledgment—it's about creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued, and celebrated for their unique contributions. In my book, I emphasize that leaders who take time to genuinely appreciate their teams foster loyalty and energy that propel an organization forward. Thanksgiving reminds me to slow down and appreciate not just the big wins but the smaller victories that often go unnoticed. Whether it’s through a simple “thank you” or a handwritten note, I’ve learned that expressing appreciation brings us all closer and builds a positive culture where people thrive. This year, as you gather with loved ones, I encourage you to reflect on the people in your life who help make your journey possible. Take a moment to share your gratitude with them; it might just be the most valuable gift you give. As we celebrate this season of thanks, let’s commit to bringing gratitude into our daily lives, not just for one day a year. To my family, my colleagues, and everyone who has supported me this year—thank you. #gratitude #appreciation

Thanksgiving is a perfect reminder of the importance of gratitude—not just in our personal lives but also in how we lead and work with others. As a leader, one of the most impactful things I’ve learned is the value of recognizing the people behind the work. Taking time to celebrate milestones like holidays, birthdays, or personal achievements reminds our teams that they’re more than just contributors to a task—they’re valued individuals. This Thanksgiving, I’m reflecting on how small gestures, like a heartfelt thank-you or a simple acknowledgment, can transform relationships. When people feel appreciated and seen, they’re more engaged, more connected, and more willing to bring their best to the table. So, as we enjoy this season of gratitude, let’s also think about how we can show appreciation for the people we work with—not just today, but every day. To my team, colleagues, and connections: I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and grow with you. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and restful Thanksgiving! How are you showing gratitude to your team this holiday season? I’d love to hear your ideas! #Thanksgiving #Leadership #Gratitude”

Gratitude is a superpower we often underestimate. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been reflecting on how a simple “Thank you” can transform personal and professional relationships. In the rush of our daily lives, it’s easy to overlook the small, meaningful gestures that strengthen connections and inspire trust. Each month, I prioritize reaching out to two people outside my immediate team—partners, collaborators, or stakeholders who’ve contributed to our success. A short email or a note of thanks—these small actions acknowledge their contributions, deepen our professional relationships, and foster a sense of collaboration. Within my team, I aim to express gratitude consistently. Whether recognizing a milestone achievement or appreciating the day-to-day dedication that keeps us moving forward, I’ve learned that a culture of recognition is critical to building a motivated and engaged workforce. As we celebrate this Thanksgiving with family and friends, I encourage us to look outward. Who in your network, workplace, or community deserves a “Thank you” today? A small gesture of appreciation can create a ripple effect of positivity and connection. I am wishing everyone a warm and grateful Thanksgiving! #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Leadership #Teamwork #Collaboration #WorkCulture #Appreciation #PositiveImpact #ProfessionalGrowth #ThankYou

As we celebrate Thanksgiving , I find myself reflecting on the many layers of gratitude we experience in both our personal and professional lives. Leadership, at its core, is about recognizing the support systems around us—the people, moments, and even the lessons from challenges, both big and small. I’m endlessly grateful for the people I work with—those who push boundaries, think bigger, and make every challenge feel achievable. To my coworkers, team members, and leaders alike, thank you for your dedication, passion, and drive to grow together. You make my journey as a leader both humbling and rewarding. To our incredible vendors and partners, thank you for your trust and collaboration. Your support enables us to push forward, adapt, and continue creating value for our customers. Together, we build stronger networks and lasting success. To my lovely wife Sunita and my beautiful daughters Malika Sood Raashi Sood who remind me daily what love, patience, and resilience look like, your support is a constant source of strength. Whether in moments of success or challenge, your belief in me keeps me grounded and focused. And a special shoutout to my dog, Cheeku 🐾—who reminds me of the importance of joy, loyalty, and living in the moment. You’ve taught me that leadership doesn’t always come with words, but in presence and consistency. To my neighbors, friends, and even those everyday interactions that brighten our lives—you shape a community that inspires leadership in kindness, respect, and connection. Finally, to the world around us, living and non-living, for providing lessons in growth, change, and patience. Leadership is about embracing these lessons and guiding others through the ups and downs, while remaining rooted in purpose. Leadership is built on gratitude. It’s about recognizing that none of us lead alone. It’s about learning from everything around us—people, experiences, and even silence. Let’s continue to lead with compassion, humility, and a heart full of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and may we continue to inspire, lead, and uplift one another every step of the way. #Leadership #Gratitude #Thanksgiving #Teamwork #Family #Community #Partners #Vendors

🦃 Gratitude in the Workplace: A Thanksgiving Reflection 🦃 As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself reflecting on the power of gratitude—not just in our personal lives but in the workplace as well. Gratitude fosters connection, builds trust, and reminds us to celebrate each other's contributions. This holiday season, let's take a moment to thank those who make our days brighter: 🤝 Colleagues who lend a helping hand. 🎉 Leaders who inspire and support. 🌟 Teams who collaborate and innovate. I encourage everyone to carry this spirit of gratitude beyond the holiday. Small acts of recognition can have a big impact all year round. To all my connections: Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂 Gratitude in Action 🙌 Thanksgiving always brings an opportunity to pause and reflect—but what if we took it a step further? Gary Burnison’s recent message from Korn Ferry reminded me that gratitude is only half the story. Pairing it with thoughtful action is where the real impact lies. Being "thankful" means appreciating the people and moments that shape us. Being "thoughtful" means reaching out, acknowledging their impact, and finding ways to reciprocate. This year, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside incredible colleagues, clients, and friends who’ve shaped my journey. As I reflect on those relationships, I’m reminded: How often do we take the time to say "thank you" in a way that truly resonates? This season, I’m challenging myself not just to feel gratitude but to show it—whether that’s a handwritten note, a call to reconnect, or a simple “thank you” shared with intention. 💡 What’s one thoughtful action you can take to show your gratitude? Let’s make this season about more than reflection—let’s make it about meaningful connection. #GratitudeInAction #LeadershipWithHeart #ThoughtfulConnections #ThanksgivingReflections

As Thanksgiving draws near, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the power of gratitude, both personally and professionally. I often see firsthand how fostering a culture of thankfulness strengthens connections, enhances collaboration, and drives meaningful growth. Successful organizations thrive on teamwork. I'm frequently reminded of how much I rely on the expertise and dedication of others. Recognizing their efforts isn't just good practice—it's essential. Gratitude fosters motivation and helps everyone feel valued for their contributions. Whether it's acknowledging a team member for leading a meeting or thanking a client for their business, these simple moments reinforce relationships and build value. While Thanksgiving highlights the importance of giving thanks, it shouldn’t just occur during one season. Gratitude should be a year-round practice. What is one thing you can do to show thankfulness throughout the year?

A THANKSGIVING DAY MESSAGE Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m reminded of something important: None of us achieves anything worthwhile completely alone. Every success, every lesson, every moment of growth is shaped by the people we choose to surround ourselves with. This day is about gratitude, but let me challenge you to think about it a little differently. Instead of just saying “thank you,” take a moment to truly reflect on the roles others have played in your life - their impact, their influence, their sacrifices. To my family, thank you for being my foundation and for always supporting me even when things didn’t weren’t always going well. You remind me why I work hard and why life is about so much more than just goals or achievements. To my friends, thank you for your honesty, your support, and your ability to pull me back down to earth when needed. You prove that the right relationships are a mirror, showing us who we are and who we could be. To my team and colleagues, thank you for your dedication, for challenging the way I think, and for sharing this journey of growth. Leadership isn’t about being the smartest in the room - it’s about surrounding yourself with people who inspire you to be better. You do that for me every day. And to every person and organization I’ve worked with, coached, partnered with, or crossed paths with, thank you for trusting me, for sharing your stories, and for letting me guide in whatever small way I could. You’ve taught me that leadership isn’t just about driving results - it’s about guiding people toward what they’re truly capable of. So today, let’s be intentional about our gratitude. Let’s not just feel thankful - let’s express it. Write the note, make the call, have the conversation. Let the people in your life know what they mean to you, and how they’ve shaped your story. Because at the end of the day, leadership, life, and legacy come down to one thing: relationships. Celebrating Thanksgiving last week reminded me of one of the simplest and most profound truths: Gratitude changes everything. In my years leading WD-40 Company, I learned that a culture of appreciation isn’t just good for people. It’s good for business. Taking the time to acknowledge others creates trust, connection, and a sense of belonging that inspires extraordinary results. But gratitude isn’t just for the big things, like milestone achievements or career successes. It’s in the little, everyday moments: ☕ A quiet cup of tea that makes you pause and reflect. 👏 A team member stepping up when it matters most. 💬 A heartfelt “thank you” that reminds someone they’re valued. As leaders, and as people, we have the power to create more joy and connection in the world simply by showing gratitude. And what better time of year than the holidays to start? I’m thankful for my family, my friends, my tribe, and the endless opportunities to keep learning and growing together. What are you thankful for this year? Let’s fill the comments with gratitude. #gratitude #thankful #endofyear

I’m making a personal commitment to practice Gratitude more intentionally in the workplace - yes, it’s Thanksgiving, but it’s an excellent time to slow down and reflect on how we can do this in small ways so that it becomes more ingrained. Here are a few small things I’m going to pay attention to with greater intention: 🙏 Remembering to say “Thank You” to even the smallest acts of effort. ❤️ Acknowleding that people want to receive recognition in different ways. Some people want a company-wide shout out, some want a personal message, some might want to be surprised with a coffee or lunch. Recognition comes in many different ways for different folks. Know your people. 🤝 Asking for critical feedback rather than waiting for it, so I can learn and grow and always do better. And being Thankful for it. Happy Holidays to all! XOXO

Gratitude: A Daily Practice with Extraordinary Impact 🧡🦃🍁 On this Thanksgiving Eve, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone in our network—clients, partners, colleagues, and friends. Your trust, collaboration, and support have made this year one of growth and progress, and we are truly thankful for each of you. 🙏 At Ironworks, we believe gratitude is more than just a seasonal sentiment—it’s a daily practice that shapes how we approach both challenges and opportunities. For Heidi Hoium, this practice takes the form of writing down three things she’s grateful for every morning while planning her day. ✍️🌞 This simple ritual helps shift focus to what’s already working and wonderful, creating a mindset that approaches obstacles with clarity and positivity. Does it always work perfectly? No. But doing it consistently fosters resilience and a grounded perspective over time. 💡💪 Today, as we reflect on the many things we’re grateful for, we invite you to join us in this practice. How are you cultivating gratitude in your life and work? Gratitude is a powerful force—not just for the holiday season, but for every day. It can transform your mindset, your leadership, and your relationships! Let’s finish this year strong, leading with gratitude in everything we do. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Ironworks! 🦃🍁
