…I am convinced these techniques and close collaboration will also become game changing in neurosurgical research
Had a great time at the first-ever conference organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Digitale Medizin e.V. , where I could present what penguins have to do with prompt injection attacks on large language models in medicine. On a more serious note, bringing together people from diverse disciplines like at the DGDM is the right way forward! Proud that the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health was so well represented by Stefanie Brückner Max Ostermann and Oscar Freyer Thank you for hosting us at the Hasso Plattner Institute Ariel Dora Stern , Lars Masanneck and many more.

I'm thrilled to announce that my article, *"Kinovea Program for Assessment of Female Student’s Knee Joint Proprioception in Closed Kinetic Chain: Emphasis on Validity and Reliability,"* has been published in Journal of Advanced Sport Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Shirin Yazdani. In this study, The study found that Kinovea software is a valid and reliable tool for assessing knee joint position sense. It compared Kinovea with a goniometer across different knee flexion angles and conditions, showing strong correlations and repeatability. The results suggest that Kinovea is an effective, easy, and cost-efficient method for evaluating knee proprioception in both sports and clinical settings. On the rarest day of the year, February 29, it was uplifting to be part of #RDDNIH on #RareDiseaseDay and onsite at the NIH Main Campus to raise awareness about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives. Thank you to the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and the NIH Clinical Center for convening patients, patient advocates, caregivers, healthcare providers, and researchers and shining a spotlight on stories told by patients living with a rare disease, their families, and their communities. When we are Patient-First, we are also Digital-First, especially when there is a role for Artificial Intelligence to play in reducing the diagnostic odyssey. Rare diseases often are difficult to diagnose — it can take years. https://lnkd.in/e_mzg3e8
NCATS Director Joni Rutter, Ph.D., reflects on today’s #RareDiseaseDay at NIH. “It was an incredibly empowering, energizing, thought-provoking day.” "Thank you to all the speakers, to all our poster presenters, to all our exhibitors and to all the artists...thank you for all the work you're doing. We're making a ton of progress. Keep up the fantastic work & we'll see you next year." #RDDNIH

Thank you to the ARC, the General assessors and the detailed assessors for supporting our 3-year Discovery Project "Towards Standards and Benchmarks for Reproducible Neuroimaging Research". Together with Lena Oestreich, Franco Pestilli and Christian Langkammer we aim to address the reproducibility crisis in neuroimaging by developing methodologies and standards for defining reproducible, benchmarked analysis pipelines. It expects to generate new knowledge about the extent of reproducibility challenges and develop standardised methods for describing analyses from raw data to outputs. Planned outcomes include implementing and integrating these standards with our established neuroimaging platforms like Neurodesk.org and Brainlife.io for community dissemination. This will provide significant benefits by enabling researchers to reuse, build upon and trust published findings, and thereby accelerating scientific discovery.

The moral imagination lies at the heart of what I call Moral Health. When we strengthen this capacity, we transform not just individual wellbeing, but the very fabric of our businesses and communities. It is indeed the problem of our time. I've started to explore how these are inextricably bound at moralhealth.substack.com. Thank you, Dr. Joseph Marine and Dr. Ge Bai, for advancing this crucial conversation.
Professor at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Or simply say that we don’t know, and it’s up to the collective wisdom of the market, not gov institutions, to decide. Thank you, Dr. Joseph Marine at Johns Hopkins Medicine, for the post: https://lnkd.in/eaNUFq7j Link to The New York Times op-ed: https://lnkd.in/eaawZQfr

While pain fellowships consistently do an excellent job in preparing their pain fellows for the Board examinations, and preparing them to evaluate the patient as well and perform procedures safely, unfortunately, the practical aspects of succeeding in academic and private practice are rarely addresses. This includes hiring, firing, documentation, preauthorization, billing, collecting, staying compliant, and differentiation of offering. The program was possible, only because Dr Jason Yong actively recognized this unmet need and because he invited me and more importantly all the Harvard Pain Fellows. Stay tuned, a lot more to come. #chronicpain #awarenessofoptions #interventionalpain #acutepain #neuromodulation #spinalstenosis #neuropathicpain #transformativeeducation #practicesuccess
A huge thank you to Nilesh Patel MD, MBA for his generosity of time and for delivering an incredibly academic and thorough presentation today. His session, which truly captured pain medicine in a nutshell, was nothing short of enlightening. Our Brigham and Women's Hospital Pain Medicine fellows were thoroughly engaged, as were our invited colleagues from Mass General Pain Fellowship. We are so grateful for Dr. Patel’s insights and expertise. Thank you again for your outstanding contribution to our learning community! Christopher L.
