SDRs - Struggling with your ramp? Here are 5 tips to immediately improve your results and beat your ramp 1. Meet with 3 top performing BDRs, pick their brains on everything from Prospecting, Research, Sequences, calls, emails, Linkedin DM's etc. Once you have a good pool of knowledge on strategies that are working in the current market you can adapt it and make it your own. 2. Problem enablement: The most important thing to know is WHO you help and HOW you help them. Speak to your AE's who've closed business, CSMs and your own internal personas. The goal is to be able to crisply articulate how you can help a target persona in a target account get to their desired state. No one cares about WHAT you do, they care about how you can help them. 3. Volume: Practice makes perfect, you're not going to get good without the reps so get out there and prepare to fail. 4. Double down: If you find one medium is yielding more meetings then double down on that one, e.g if you're booking 5 meetings a month through call and 1 via email, try changing to a call only sequence for a while to see if it ups your results. 5. Feedback loops: Regularly ask your top-performing peers, AEs and your manager in your 121 for SPECIFIC advice. This means you'll always be growing your skillset. Make sure you're not getting advice from everyone though as this will dilute your focus P.S I'll do a part 2 of this next week but anything you'd add? SDRs and AE's - There's always a next Q. Here's what I'm doing to set myself up for success moving into a new Q after a couple of weeks away: 1/Auditing outbound blockers - I take a look at my current outbound blockers and decide what worked and what didn't. Simple, I keep what worked and rejig what didn't. 2/Edit and adapt scripts - I'm a big fan of A/B testing so I take time to edit and adjust my scripts to test a new concept I've found or cut out something that wasn't effective. These aren't wholesale changes just simple tweaks. 3/ Find my outbound channels - I take a look at my outbound channels and choose which to focus on. My favourites tend to be Lost opps, past customers (LI sales nav), Event attendees and customer lookalikes. 4/Cut any non-essential internal meetings - time is of the essence as a rep, so making sure you're ruthless with your time and spending it on pipe building or closing activities is essential. 5/Reflect on small wins - Even though the scoreboard has reset. It's essential to stop and smell the roses from last Q, and revel in your wins - even just for a little while. Use it as fuel that you have the ability succeed but still so much to learn. 6/Self-development goals - Each Q I set myself a self-development goal, last Q was Salman's discovery course (highly recommend) and this Q I'm targetting MEDDPICC. As well as big self-dev goals for the Q I also have regular 30min blockers at the end of my day, to make sure I'm sharpening my skillset. Anything I've missed?

Be honest with why you need experience for your SDR/BDR role? You could be saving yourself huge amounts of money for the same results by going with an entry level hire. Legit reasons for needing experience - Complex sell with a tough buyer profile (CISO, CTO, CRO etc) - You don't have an outbound process or manager who can train. Non legit reasons - You're too lazy to train - You think hiring with experience improves your retention (it's the opposite) Analyse your SDR culture, could you be going with no experience?? #sdrjobs #sdrteam #salesjobs

SDRs/AEs when cold calling have a dilemma: -Spend too much time on research and miss out on making enough calls, or spend not enough time on research and sort of "wing it" when they connect with prospects Here are a few tips: 1. Use the same opener for each bucket of prospects IE: Truly cold vs previously engaged 2. Use a research tool, like Evabot AI for Sales Outbound 2.0 (#partner), which will help you consolidate research and tie back to a problem statement. Whatever it is, just use a tool that helps you connect 'why you're reaching out and why it matters to the prospect' 3. List out problem statements for each persona and build the business acumen to truly understand what similar problems they may have by leveraging your current customers (IE: what pains did they solve by working with you) If you do those 3 things, you'll reduce the time it takes to research effectively and make enough dials.

Modern Sellers DON'T: ❌ Spend their day making hundreds of calls. ❌ Abandon accounts after a single attempt. ❌ Chase high activity without strategy. ❌ Focus on quantity over impact. ❌ Grumble about their manager's expectations. ❌ Blame the lack of leads on marketing. ❌ Skip dedicated time for prospecting. ❌ Blast out mass, impersonal emails. ❌ Agree with every objection just to please. ❌ Use cookie-cutter emails with zero personalization. WHAT THEY DO: 🗸 Follow up consistently (at least 3 times before moving on). 🗸 Craft personalized messages that speak to the prospect's needs. 🗸 Research thoroughly to understand their target's challenges. 🗸 Send 15-30 meaningful, targeted emails each day. 🗸 Focus on quality of outreach, not sheer volume. 🗸 Manage fewer accounts but with more intention. 🗸 Master discovery calls and demos with confidence. 🗸 Make 25-30 well-thought-out calls daily. 🗸 Build genuine relationships that last. 🗸 Hone their negotiation skills for better outcomes. Remove phrases like "I think" or "I believe" These phrases are weak and make you sound less confident. before: "I think that we can help solve XYZ" after: "we solve XYZ" You're already giving your opinion, you don't need to say it again. Want to win more of your pipeline? 💰 Multi-thread It’s one of the most important things you can do to help drive urgency in your sales cycle Most mid-market deals include an average of 6-10 DMs Enterprise deals can include upwards of 20+ DMs The trap that a lot of sellers can fall into is over-relying on your champion Champions are great - don’t get me wrong It pays dividends to have a champion but it’s 10x when you have 3-4 champions advocating on your behalf Unfortunately most buyers don’t know how to buy so our job as sellers is to educate our buyers on how to effectively buy a solution to solve their problems & it’s actually pretty simple to do Take a look at your closed-won deals - especially your high value deals Who all was involved? Who is currently involved? What was the buying process like? What unexpected obstacles did you have to overcome? Use this as a roadmap to educate your prospects on how to buy I love multi-threading at the end of discovery in driving next steps (and farther along the sales process as well) Here’s a quick talk track you can easily apply when driving next steps with prospects: “Next steps typically involve looping in ABC partners (this could be higher level DMs in their function or other cross-functional leaders who are involved in the buying process for your service/offering) to discuss XYZ priorities (this should be the key initiatives your prospect is looking to solve/improve/attain in implementing your solution). We want to make sure that we’re all in alignment and moving in the right direction together. We usually see that looping in cross-functional partners early helps us to uncover potential roadblocks that we’d need to account for and improves our collaborative efficiency. What does your buying process look like and who is usually involved? Would it make sense for us to go ahead and loop then in on our next call?” Why it works? 1️⃣ You’re educating the buyer on who’s typically involved with the buying/implementation process at other similar organizations 2️⃣ You’re collaboratively driving next steps and confirming the prospects buying process 3️⃣ You’re using multi-threading as a way to add value (helping reduce unforeseen roadblocks and improve efficiency) 4️⃣ You’re reducing the internal selling effort required for your champion (again - adding value) Expand your reach by broadening your decision-making unit through multi-tasking and watch your sales cycle shrink What other tips do you have for multi-threading within your pipeline?
