Helping Sales Pros Close More Deals + Crush Quota | 17 Years as an AE | ex-Salesforce, IBM + Asana | Founder, Salman Sales Academy

Sales isn’t for the faint of heart. Here’s the cold hard truth: - high risk / high reward - make good coin, no doubt - but be out of a job if you don’t perform - job security? likely not right career path - don’t like change? please see above thanks 👆 - inconsistent income; won’t hit every quarter/year - thick skin; have to be able to handle rejection - it’s about your number: exceed, you’re on top of world - if you don’t hit your number: then flip that script What’s also the cold hard truth about Sales: - have intellectual discussions - solve real business problems - help lead business transformation - hit your number, make some good coin - crush your number? life changing $$$$ - people and community are absolutely amazing - career long relationships with execs + fellow sellers - continuous learning, enablement + career growth a ton more… …………………………………….. Love what I do. Love what we do. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

This shows the good, bad and ugly side of being in sales. It’s rewarding in many ways but not a career for the faint of heart.

Agreed! Never realized how much you learn day to day in sales outside of conversations with clients until I started my first closing role. So much work on the back end that you can learn so much from

Love this post. Sales has been very good to me- it allowed me to raise three boys full time on my own and put them through college, while also attending almost all of their sporting and school events. Sales isn’t for everyone, but if you’re successful sales can offer you an unmatched income and quality of life.
