We look forward to continuing to work together in the coming year.

As we begin 2023, I wanted to take a moment to recognize our resilient South Florida Haitian American business community for their continued dedication to our chamber. As we begin 2023, I wanted to take a moment to recognize our resilient South Florida Haitian American business community for their continued dedication to our chamber. The last two years were not what we expected; we were faced with some of the most challenging times in history with COVID-19. The pandemic has taken many things and people from us, however, it cannot take away our history, culture, quest to innovate, or our determination to excel. It is time to dig deep and create a skilled workforce better than before though advocacy and appropriate policy.

Like so many of our Members, the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce had to pivot our business model. Over the past eleven months, the Chamber team has been working tirelessly and has creatively adapted our business model to better serve the needs of our socially changing community. Our team has promoted, hosted and co-hosted over 40 hybrid (virtual and/or in person) events that have been viewed or attended by thousands of Members and Non-Members alike. Our Small Business team supported hundreds of small businesses, helping them navigate through ever-changing governmental regulations. Locally, the Chamber Public Policy team has pushed for relief and represented our business community during countless Board of Supervisor meetings and other Public Hearings.

One thing that has not changed is our continued dedication to the business community and our recognition that Haiti despite its challenges has always been a place of resilience and change. That is what makes this chamber’s mission special. For 10 years, the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce has navigated through boom and bust economies and we will continue to evolve.

As we start a new year, I invite you to join and support the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce as we embark together into the next chapter of the chamber’s vision for the community at large.

    Respectfully,
    Jean Pierre Turgot
    President and Founder
