💜 Standing in Solidarity Against GBV 16 Days Of Activism 💜 At Empowerment For Hope Society, we are a grassroots organization deeply committed to ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and supporting those affected by its devastating impact. We honor the lives lost to domestic violence and GBV—lives that were cut short by acts of cruelty and silence. These are not just numbers; they are daughters, sisters, mothers, friends, and neighbors. Their stories demand to be heard. We stand with survivors, those who courageously navigate the scars of abuse every day. Their resilience inspires our mission to break the cycles of violence and provide safe spaces for healing, empowerment, and hope. ✨ Our Work at EFH Offering trauma-informed workshops and peer support groups. Raising awareness through education and advocacy. Providing referrals and resources for survivors to rebuild their lives. 🛑 Join Us in the Fight Against GBV Now, more than ever, we need to come together as a community. Share this message, speak out against violence, and support organizations like ours that are fighting for a world free from GBV. 📢 Together, we can turn pain into purpose, silence into strength, and fear into freedom. 💔 Let us never forget those we’ve lost. Let us honor them by standing firm in the fight for justice and safety for all. #EndGBV #SupportSurvivors #DomesticViolenceAwareness #EmpowermentForHope #TogetherForChange

"As we actively celebrate the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all humanitarian aid organizations, Civil Society Organizations, and individuals who are passionately fighting against all forms of GBV. Your tireless efforts in awareness raising, advocacy, capacity building, medical response, and economic empowerment are truly commendable. You are the unsung heroes who brave the odds to support survivors of GBV. Thank you for your remarkable resilience. As we continue to fight against GBV, I have been reflecting on the critical role of positive intentional parenting and child upbringing in curbing all forms of GBV in society. Parents are the first point of contact for these young minds, and we are their first role models. We have the opportunity to model positive values such as love, respect, and empathy to our children. Conversely, we can also inadvertently model violence and negative behaviors. As we strive to create a society free from GBV, let us be intentional about instilling positive values in our children. By doing so, we can empower future generations to become agents of change and promote a culture of respect, empathy, and non-violence. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all." #Writer #SpokenWordArtist #Poet #TheVoiceOfSolace #YouthActivitist #IntentionalAboutYouths

Day 4 of the Global Campaign - 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Empower Her to Reclaim Her Life. Gender-based violence (GBV) impacts millions worldwide, stripping away not just safety but also the confidence and agency to rebuild. On Day 4 of the Global 16 Days Campaign, we emphasize the critical need to strengthen access to resources and support systems for survivors. Empowerment is more than a word—it’s action. It’s about providing the tools, opportunities, and safety nets for survivors to take back control of their lives. Whether it's access to counseling, legal aid, financial independence, or safe spaces, every effort counts toward reclaiming freedom and dignity. Together, we can create a society where survivors are supported, heard, and uplifted. Join the movement: -Share resources for survivors in your community. -Advocate for stronger support systems and policies. -Stand against all forms of violence and abuse. Let’s ensure no one is left behind. #UniteForHer #NoExcuse #EndGBV #16DaysOfActivism #DEIB #TheHive #DareToBeAware #Wecona

In this regard, I recommend learning more about how to “End Violence Against Women” from End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) website as it is very important to know how to report such incidents and how Not to !
Gender-based violence (GBV) is not an isolated issue—it’s happening in our own communities. During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, YWCA Metro Vancouver has launched Close to Home, a powerful campaign revealing the number of reported sexual assaults within a 10-block radius across Vancouver. We, along with a community of advocates, are calling on the BC government to declare gender-based violence an epidemic—a crucial step toward raising awareness, improving survivor support and driving systemic change. How you can help: 👉 Add your voice to our open letter: ywcavan.org/hiddenepidemic 👉 Write to your MLA and demand action 👉 Share this message to amplify the movement Together, we can create safer communities for everyone.

Standing Together is glad to hear the new Government's commitment to halve Violence Against Women and Girls in the King's speech. Our CEO Cherryl Henry-Leach responds to Labour's statement with a call for a 'whole system approach' to effectively create positive change, including: - A clear delivery plan that keeps the safety of victims/survivors central to its development - Investment in the VAWG sector so that vital support provided by specialist organisations is sustained - Access to justice in a way that doesn't re-traumatise victims/survivors and they experience trauma-informed support at every stage of their disclosure - Improvements to the NHS, including a Coordinated Community Response (CCR) to health and domestic abuse - Expectations that all educational settings respond appropriately to domestic abuse and actively promote and teach healthy relationships - Reduce homelessness, recognising domestic abuse as a leading cause, while protecting survivors and guaranteeing victims' rights Read the full blog post at: https://lnkd.in/egAwY2HF #KingsSpeech #VAWG #domesticabuse #sexualviolence #humanrights #calltoaction

🗣️EHF Program Spotlight: Don’t Stop Your Future 🗣️ Don’t Stop Your Future (DSYF) was born from heartbreak but fueled by hope. Sparked by the senseless loss of a young girl, we knew something had to change. What began as a simple call on social media to protect one’s future has grown into a movement—one that fights to end the cycle of violence and empower youth to take control of their own lives. The Elba Hope Foundation partners with grassroots organizations, iconic brands, and local communities to combat knife and gun crime. By amplifying the voices of marginalized groups and those directly impacted by violence, we’re creating space for healing, ambition, and empowerment. 💡 Our mission is clear: -End violence through grassroots action and support of critical youth services. -Elevate the voices of those too often unheard. -Inspire change by fostering a culture of accountability and opportunity. Together, we can ignite empathy, ambition, and a brighter future for the next generation. https://lnkd.in/eBxZXyGk #ElbaHopeFoundation #SupportYouth #UKYouthDevelopment #YouthAdvocacy #SocialJusticeInitiative #YouthEmpowerment

Every year, around 10 million people become victims of domestic violence, which equates to just about 20 people every minute. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been in an abusive relationship, while 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men have faced severe physical violence. As many as 3 out of 4 Americans know of another person that has, or is being abused by another individual, but a lot of times nothing is done about it. A woman is assaulted or beaten every 9 seconds. And the list, sadly, goes on. SPAN has been working tirelessly to help survivors of domestic violence overcome any obstacles in their path to healing, hope, and new opportunity through comprehensive support, advocacy, education, and community organizing. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and your support is more crucial than ever as domestic violence rates continue to rise and government funding faces further cuts, we need to stand together. With your help, we can continue to empower survivors, raise awareness, and drive change in our communities. Together, we can make a difference.
