How can you use active listening to show appreciation for your colleagues' ideas?
Mindfulness can greatly improve focus and presence in conversations. If your mind is wandering you can bring yourself back to the present, even in just a minute's time. -Take a deep breath to center yourself. -Choose one element around you to focus on: a scent, a pattern, or the floor beneath your feet. -Immerse yourself in this focal point, noticing its details and sensations. -Let go of your distractions and allow yourself to be fully present. -Notice how your mind clears, making it easier to focus on your listener Incorporate this brief practice into your daily routine to stay centered and engaged. By doing so, you can sharpen your ability to be fully present and attentive in conversations, even amidst the busiest of work-life chaos.

How can mindfulness combat employee anxiety?
Fear and anxiety are often intertwined, acting as partners on the professional journey. When present, they affect the psyche and body and force a reckoning with doubts and disbelief. The ability to face and observe overwhelming feelings is a mindfulness tool to help turn fear and anxiety into allies. These mindfulness practices to help you understand your emotions: -Refocus your thoughts to the present -Listen to your emotions -Be curious what fear and anxiety have to show you -Gather information on needs and what to avoid After introspection and self-observation, what you have learned about yourself. What happens when you face fear and anxiety? What you’re left with are self-soothing tools that will serve you for a lifetime.

How can Mindfulness help manage workloads?
Sometimes we need to get grounded during our day. This is particularly true when juggling career and home responsibilities. When work/life priorities get tangled, learn to stay present. Bring calm and balance back to your day. Some call meditation aerobics for the brain. What’s been discovered is how the brain changes over our life. New connections get formed and you can be the source for the new connectivity. This happens when you change your thoughts, exercise, and remain in the present. Meditation is proven to reduce stress, calm nerves, and improve concentration. The purpose of mindfulness is to help take you out of the internal chaos and into a state of being that will enable you and coach you back into yourself.

What are some ways to practice mindfulness before an interview?
Anxious about interviewing? Mindfulness can help you feel more confident. Try this 5 minute exercise before your interview: 1. Find a quiet place to sit. 2. Breathe slowly, imagine your breath moving from your feet to the top of your head. 3. Be aware of the rhythm of your breath, then slow the pace. 4. If your mind wanders, shift focus back to your breath. 5. Breathe in for a count of five, out for five, then increase count to seven, then ten. Don’t have 5 minutes? Just three long, slow inhales can create a sense of balance, clearing your mind, and opening your lungs. Meditation is proven to reduce stress, calm nerves, and improve concentration. As a result, you will be less anxious throughout the interview process. All the best.
