🙏📖👀 Rosies Book Reviews! 📕 Mum's Jumper by Jayde Perkin 💭 This is a simple but effective book that will strike a chord with anyone experiencing grief. It depicts the story of loss, the immediate effects and the 'growing around your grief' analogy with the support of those around you. The book is gentle, genuine and relatable. Parents could read this with their children and would be suitable for children aged 5+ I'd say (developmentally speaking). I believe this book may pave the way towards normalising feelings and experiences which at the time will feel completely abnormal and unwanted. Keep your eyes peeled for the next review in the series! #therosieroom #rosieleigh #grief #loss #parentsandcarers #bookreview

I'm reading a new book - "Transforming the Living Legacy of Trauma". One of the things that I read surprised me. Did you know that "few or no memories" is a symptom of trauma? For me that explains so much. Can you relate to it? #trauma #traumahealing #lifecoach #selfacceptance #selfcompassion #ifs

Faces of Grief is a hodgepodge of stories written by people battling grief related to their circumstances. Each author has utilized this book as an opportunity to continue their individual fight with their grief while helping others battling their grief understand that there are ebbs and flows. Still, those changes become opportunities for progress, growth, and an elevation that will bring people closer to a new version of themselves. #griefjourney #perspectivematters #growthroughwhatyougothrough

This review of my book is full of love and support and I am so grateful. Thank you so much Shari Karney, Esq. A Deeply Moving and Courageous Guide to Thriving Beyond Trauma by Shari Karney, Esq. Stolen Childhoods: Thriving After Abuse by Shari Botwin is an extraordinary and deeply moving book, and one I highly recommend for anyone looking to understand the journey of healing from trauma. As a survivor and an attorney who represents survivors, and as the Founder of the Global Justice Sexual Assault Movement, reading this book was an intimate, personal experience. Shari Botwin's courage in sharing her own story alongside the stories of her clients gives the book a deeply personal, raw, and authentic quality. She doesn’t shy away from the hard truths but instead creates a compassionate space that feels both embracing and empowering. The empathy with which she writes speaks to the survivor’s experience in a profoundly humane and loving way. Her words offer clarity and understanding that is often difficult to find in the aftermath of trauma. Reading Stolen Childhoods felt like finding family. Shari’s voice and the community of survivors within these pages created a sense of belonging that is rare when breaking the silence of abuse—a process that can feel isolating and lonely. For many survivors, childhood trauma means feeling “orphaned” in a sense, estranged from the support of family. Yet, through Shari’s compassionate guidance, I felt joy in finding a family with her and the courageous voices in this book. She reminds us that we are not alone, that healing is possible, and that we are surrounded by a community of others who understand and support us. What makes this book truly remarkable is its dual focus: not only does it validate the survivor’s journey and struggles, but it also inspires with a message of hope and resilience. Stolen Childhoods is more than a memoir or a self-help book; it’s a guide to thriving after abuse, to moving beyond the trauma to live a full, vibrant life. For survivors, advocates, and anyone seeking to support loved ones, Stolen Childhoods will resonate deeply. It is a testament to the power of healing, compassion, and the human spirit's ability to transform pain into strength.
