About
I evangelize effective ways salespeople and entrepreneurs can find more qualified prospects, close more deals and make more money. I do this through motivating sales training, online courses, one-on-one coaching, workshops, seminars, and dynamic keynote presentations.
Like most of you, I've done all kinds of sales, hoping to make a lot of money. Unfortunately, that didn't happen right away. I lost plenty of deals, I had a fear of rejection, and I just wasn't too good at selling. I went through the school of hard knocks and learned a lot of things that DID NOT WORK! I read books, received training, and learned from other top-performing experts. In no time, I started to see significant success.
I then began to evangelize everything I learned on my podcast. In no time, salespeople from all over the world were practicing these principles and began to see their own improvements. Recently, one of my listeners was able to get an appointment with an executive he had trouble getting through to by applying a simple concept I taught (message me with the subject line "simple concept" and I will tell you about it). He was then able to win the deal and earn a decent commission.
Plain and simple, I believe in keeping sales simple and mastering the fundamentals. That's the secret. These principles have helped many of the small business clients and sales professionals I coach, develop and make more sales.
If you're a salesperson needing help to make more money or an entrepreneur looking for a dynamic keynote speaker or someone who can train your sales team and help them increase revenue, feel free to call me at 561.578.1729. I'll be happy to assist in any way possible.

What are the best prospecting tools for new entrepreneurs?
Social media was a huge part of my inital success as a new entrepnures. I connected with many people via Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn when I started. Posting consistently was important. My very first customer came from a Facebook post I made. I was so pumped to see this little idea I had turn into business through social media. I used HootSuite, Later and others social media tools to help me stay present on and top of mind to my community.

What are the best prospecting tools for new entrepreneurs?
Not having an effective email marketing campaign is a huge issue for me. I know I left hundreds of thousands of dollars on the table because I didn't do this properly. I felt I didn't have something to share, didn't want to bother people, and thought I wasn't a great writer. It turned out that when I started writing emails, people loved it. When I had automation for my downloads, they didn't mind. They engaged. I found that people don't know what you have to offer until they know what you have to offer. Using a tool like ActiveCampaign, MailChimp, ConvertKit, or HubSpot can be a lift that makes you money consistently.

What are the best prospecting tools for new entrepreneurs?
Every entrepreneur needs a CRM! When I first started off I used an excel spreadsheet. It worked to list everyone, but I quickly realized I was not following up when I was supposed to. I found HubSpot CRM when they first started with sales components. This was a game-changer. I had integration to my Gmail, notification tools when someone opened my email, and started following up on time. Now I was WAY more organized and I saw increase in sales. The ability to have reports and goals kept me accountable and not to be distracted. Make no mistake: sales is the NUMBER 1 thing every new entrepreneur needs. A great CRM can help you focus and do that.

How do you overcome objections and close the deal in a virtual sales demo?
One thing that has worked for my clients and I to foster better engagement is demonstrate solutions to specific members on the buying committee. For example, say Lisa the CTO was concerned about the security of our solutions during the discovery call and expressed she wanted to see how we address that. To engage her in the demo we would say “Lisa, you had a great question about security last week. This is how we address that with our solution”. You will then demonstrate it, use third party stories to validate and then ask Lisa if this could work for her security concerns. If it will or not you will know and would have overcome a key challenge from a top stakeholder. This engages them and help you build value.

Donald Kelly—The Sales Evangelist—Is Out to Create a Community of World-Class Sellers
Success Magazine Jamie Friedlander
When Donald Kelly was 6 years old, he wanted to make a little pocket cash. His family’s yard in Jamaica had a large mango tree, so one day, he picked a few sweet, juicy mangoes, set up a table in the front yard, and tried to sell them to neighbors.
“It wasn’t fruitful—no pun intended—but it was an interesting experience,” Kelly says. “It catapulted me.” If you want to make money, he thought at the time, you need to figure out how to sell something.

“It wasn’t fruitful—no pun intended—but it was an interesting experience,” Kelly says. “It catapulted me.” If you want to make money, he thought at the time, you need to figure out how to sell something.
Although he didn’t turn a profit on the mangoes, the itch to sell stuck. Now Kelly, who lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a sales expert who shares tips, tricks and advice to salespeople across the country. He runs The Sales Evangelist, a consulting firm, and hosts The Sales Evangelist podcast, which has over 1,200 episodes and 2.5 million total downloads. He has a new book on the way, too, with an apt title: Sell It Like a Mango.Other authors -
