How can you get employees excited about a Culture Change initiative?
Make it clear how their success on the job is related to culture, and invite them to contribute to innovation and new practices. This is especially valuable across differences in identity, like gender or race or nationality. One tech company we work with sponsored a video storytelling project: 90 second videos with a pair of colleagues sharing 'what we did together, what the results were, and what we learned', and encouraging the storytelling pair to speak to differences of any kind between them, visible or not. The culture connection: the stories were pitched as 'here's how we do things around here', as a common way to talk about culture and how to grow i.t.
