🔻Why holding on is holding you back Let’s🗣️talk about burnout—a topic that’s all too common among nonprofit leaders. In my latest episode of🎙Mission: Impact podcast, I talked with Asila Calhoun, PCC, PHR, Leadership Coach about emerging and established nonprofit leaders and some of the💪challenges they face. One common challenge that I could certainly🔗relate to was the struggle that leaders have with 👥📋delegation. “By not delegating, they’re actually👟stepping in their own way. And then on a really fast track to burnout,” Asila shared. This hit👊🏠home for me and so many leaders I know. We often💭think we’re saving time or protecting our teams by holding onto tasks, but in reality, we’re limiting opportunities for📈growth and development—both for ourselves and our team members. Delegation done well isn’t about dumping work on someone else; it’s about🤲giving others the chance to✨shine, develop new skills, and contribute to the mission in a meaningful way. It also allows us as leaders to stay👀💡focused on the bigger picture. What’s standing in your way and take those first👣steps toward delegating effectively? Or if you are a champion delegator - what helps you do it❓ #LeadershipDevelopment #NonprofitLeadership #delegation _______________________ 👋Hi, I’m Carol Hamilton.
