Our team is taking a well-deserved break beginning December 23 through December 27. While the Notal Vision Monitoring Center will be closed, we will continue to monitor patients’ vision and communicate with offices as needed. We wish you a very happy and healthy holiday season and look forward to continuing to help protect patients from AMD vision loss between office visits with home monitoring in the new year!

A digital healthcare provider offering remote monitoring services to support physicians' AMD patient care
About us
Notal Vision is a patient-centric ophthalmic remote monitoring services provider extending retinal disease monitoring from the clinic to the home, providing physicians with remote monitoring services to support their patient care between office visits. With a proven approach to home-based, self-operated diagnostics, AI-enabled data analysis, and patient engagement, we help preserve patients’ vision. The Notal Vision Monitoring Center is a remote, Medicare credentialed ophthalmic provider and the epicenter of patient engagement. Led by practicing ophthalmologists and supported by certified ophthalmic professionals, the Monitoring Center offers a comprehensive nationwide age-related macular degeneration (AMD) home monitoring service for referred patients. The ForeseeHome® AMD Monitoring Program helps physicians detect the conversion to wet AMD early, leading to earlier treatment intervention and better visual outcomes. Our Home OCT pipeline technology will provide patient-initiated retinal OCT scans to support the management of patients with neovascular retinal diseases, complementing existing in-office imaging and standard of care treatments as well as emerging longer acting drugs and drug delivery systems.

Congratulations to Jonathan Brugger, MD and the Carolina Eyecare Physicians team in Nexton, South Carolina for catching a patient’s wet #AMD conversion with ForeseeHome! The patient was referred with 20/40 vision and the conversion was caught at 20/25-1. This patient was monitoring compliantly (6.1 times per week on average) for just 1 month and 5 days when an alert in the right eye ended in a wet AMD conversion. The Notal Vision Monitoring Center is proud to partner with Dr. Brugger and his team to catch their patients’ wet AMD early enough to help maintain functional vision. #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth #maculardegeneration #retina

We were excited to see great updates on the role of #optometry in helping patients with retinal diseases at the OPTOMETRIC RETINA SOCIETY meeting. Congratulations to the co-chairs Mohammad Rafieetary , OD, FAAO, FORS, Dipl ABO, ABCMO and Steve Ferrucci, OD! Mary Beth Yackey, OD presented an excellent update on the growing role of artificial intelligence in the management of retinal disease. She emphasized the importance of ForeseeHome based monitoring for patients with intermediate #AMD. Mark Dunbar, OD presented interesting updates on nutritional supplements, and Salar Rafieetary, OD gave an update on the latest treatments for management of wet and dry AMD. #eyesoninnovation #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth

Congratulations to Aleksandra Rachitskaya, MD, FASRS, from Cleveland Clinic on her presentation “Impact of home OCT on Management of nAMD Patients” at the FLORetina ICOOR 2024 Meeting during the Wet AMD Imaging Session 2, chaired by Anat Loewenstein and Nicole Eter. Dr. Rachitskaya shared results of a study that looked at changes in physician decision making with the presence of home OCT data. The results showed that home OCT data can have a significant impact on physicians’ treatment decisions. Physicians decided not to treat patients in over 42% of cases, while for patients they did treat, they decided to treat at least a week earlier in 2 out of 3 cases, when they had access to home OCT data. The results point to potential impact of home OCT in management of neovascular #AMD. #FLORetina2024 #FLORetina #FLORetinaICOOR2024 #retina #Ophthalmology #innovation

Congratulations to Brittni Scruggs, MD, PhD, and the Mayo Clinic team in Rochester, Minnesota for catching a patient’s wet #AMD conversion with ForeseeHome! The patient was referred with 20/20-3 vision and the conversion was caught at 20/40+2 after testing with ForeseeHome for 10 months. The Notal Vision Monitoring Center is proud to partner with Dr. Scruggs and her team to catch their patients’ wet AMD early enough to help maintain functional vision. #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth #maculardegeneration

Eric Schneider, MD, of Tennessee Retina joins Eyetube's New Retina Radio podcast to discuss the findings of a pivotal study assessing home OCT. Is home OCT equivalent to in-office OCT when it comes to visualization? And do expert graders agree with an AI algorithm’s assessments of patient’s pathology? #AAO2024 #eyesoninnovation #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth

Congratulations to Jonathan Till, MD and the Southwest Virginia Eye Center team in Roanoke, Virginia for catching a patient’s wet #AMD conversion with ForeseeHome! The conversion was caught at 20/40 after testing 6.5 times per week on average for over eight years with ForeseeHome. This patient had five prior non-exudative alerts in their left eye, before the sixth alert resulted in a wet AMD conversion. A sub-analysis of the ALOFT study showed that these types of non-exudative alerts predict an increased risk of wet AMD conversion, highlighting the need for more attentive management. Read the analysis here: https://lnkd.in/esBYe6a2 The Notal Vision Monitoring Center is proud to partner with Dr. Till and his team to catch their patients’ conversions to wet AMD early enough to help maintain functional vision. #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth #maculardegeneration #ophthalmology #retina

Dr. Sunir Garg highlights age-related #maculardegeneration advancements from American Academy of Ophthalmology's 2024 annual meeting. One topic he discusses is the study of home optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology, which was recently approved by the US FDA. Patients with wet #AMD experience a high treatment burden partly caused by frequent office visits, which this technology is designed to reduce. #AAO2024 #eyesoninnovation #remotemonitoring #digitalhealth
