Congratulations to Aleksandra Rachitskaya, MD, FASRS, from Cleveland Clinic on her presentation “Impact of home OCT on Management of nAMD Patients” at the FLORetina ICOOR 2024 Meeting during the Wet AMD Imaging Session 2, chaired by Anat Loewenstein and Nicole Eter. Dr. Rachitskaya shared results of a study that looked at changes in physician decision making with the presence of home OCT data. The results showed that home OCT data can have a significant impact on physicians’ treatment decisions. Physicians decided not to treat patients in over 42% of cases, while for patients they did treat, they decided to treat at least a week earlier in 2 out of 3 cases, when they had access to home OCT data. The results point to potential impact of home OCT in management of neovascular #AMD. #FLORetina2024 #FLORetina #FLORetinaICOOR2024 #retina #Ophthalmology #innovation

🔍👁️ Dive into the future of vascular imaging with Dr. Tariq Aslam at European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA) 2024 as he explores the pivotal role of OCT angiography in revolutionizing patient care. Dr. Aslam discusses how OCTA has become an essential tool in swiftly identifying neovascularization, drastically reducing the need for traditional, time-consuming angiograms and preventing vision loss in patients with diabetes and vein occlusions. 🚀💡 With OCTA, clinicians can detect critical changes in real-time, facilitating immediate interventions like laser treatments right within the clinic—enhancing efficiency and outcomes for patients at risk of severe complications. 🎥 Stay tuned to hear Dr. Aslam’s compelling case for integrating advanced imaging technologies like OCTA into everyday clinical practice to ensure timely care and preserve vision. #Euretina #Ophthalmology #EyeCare #RetinaSpecialist #MedicalInnovation #VisionHealth #EyeHealth #DigitalHealth #Retina #Ophthalmology #ClinicianLinkLive

I'm thrilled to share our newly published study on the long-term biomechanical and tomographic outcomes of keratoconus patients post-CXL, conducted over four years. ⏳ Our study highlights that while there are significant biomechanical and tomographic changes within the first year post-CXL, these metrics stabilize, demonstrating CXL's efficacy in maintaining corneal integrity up to four years. This provides valuable insights for clinicians and patients considering CXL for keratoconus management. Explore the role of ultrasound in liver health with the ACUSON Sequoia. As an important tool, ultrasound offers unique advantages for assessing liver conditions, especially in complex scenarios. Its noninvasive nature and versatility are ideal for routine screening and assessments. The UDFF technology on the ACUSON Sequoia delivers good agreement with MRI-PDFF for determining hepatic steatosis to MRI Proton Density Fat Fraction (MRI-PDFF) to aid clinicians in determining hepatic steatosis. MRI-PDFF and UDFF methods classify hepatic steatosis as an index value greater than 5% [1]. Learn more about how the ACUSON Sequoia empowers healthcare professionals with advanced technology for liver assessment and better patient care: https://bit.ly/4dAjiVX. #LiverHealth #UDFF #Ultrasound #SiemensHealthineers [1] UDFF quantifies liver fat content and reports a percentage that can be useful as an aid to a physician managing patients with hepatic steatosis. A UDFF cutoff of more (greater) than 5% was identified in studies for Sequoia VB10 and earlier versions. The UDFF cutoffs should be used as a part of an overall and comprehensive clinical assessment for the diagnosis of hepatic steatosis.
