Medical City Healthcare reposted this
Across HCA Healthcare, more than 45,000 active and affiliated physicians continuously seek new care strategies to meet the unique, complex and critical needs of our patients. Today, we’re continuing our “Expert Voices” blog series, celebrating exemplary physicians who are championing the practice of medicine for a healthier world. Dr. Kristine J. Guleserian has devoted her life to healing hearts and has marked her name in the history books while doing so. As a board-certified congenital heart surgeon, she became the first woman in the United States to lead a congenital heart surgery program when she was named Congenital Heart Surgery Program Director at HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas in 2019. With more than 20 years of world-renowned experience caring for neonates, infants, children and adults with congenital heart defects, Dr. Guleserian provides compassionate, complex care to her patients. She also hopes she will be able to offer her experiences, knowledge and mentorship to the next generation of surgeons. On “HCA Healthcare Today,” learn more about Dr. Guleserian’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine and her journey to leading one of the top congenital heart programs in the nation at Medical City Healthcare : https://bit.ly/3DcQOV8. #HealthierTomorrows #ImproveMoreLives
