Dr. Paula shared about Sunflower Day at her office, with sunflower treats to eat and packets of seeds for patients to take home and plant. 🌻She used this as an amazing segue to talking about each person’s innate potential. 🌻 What fun patient appreciation events have you used to engage with your community? @paulahedglon #healthylivingjourney #wellnessgoals #wellnessadvocate #naturaloptions #naturalhealing #healthyadvice #chiropracticquotes #chiropracticmemes #chiropracticwellness #getadjusted

Community Servings is pleased to be a partner in #MakeHungerHistory, an ambitious statewide initiative to end hunger in Massachusetts led by a coalition of advocates, policymakers, businesses, service providers, and individuals with lived experiences of hunger. Together, we aim to inform policy, challenge stigmas, and build a grassroots movement to change a system that leaves too many neighbors without the resources they need to access healthy, nutritious foods for themselves and their families. With 1 in 3 Massachusetts’ residents facing hunger, the time to act is now. For more about Make Hunger History or to pledge your support, visit makehungerhistoryma.org. “At Community Servings, we witness every day how access to nutritious meals can transform lives, particularly for those managing complex health conditions. Our investment in this coalition is about recognizing the vital intersection of food and health. As a leader in this space, Massachusetts is poised to set a national example. Together, we’re not just ending hunger; we’re healing communities and building a healthier future for all.” CEO David B. Waters

The journey of raising awareness about the dangers of unhealthy foods and drinks has been an incredible eye-opener! 💡 From public sensitization campaigns to policy advocacy, every step reaffirms the importance of promoting healthier choices to protect public health. Here's a glimpse from one of the explainer videos I did, to dive into what Sugar-Sweetened Beverages (SSBs) are and why the #SSBTax matters. This tax is about saving lives, encouraging better habits, building a healthier future and a source of #HealthFinancing. Healthy food options shouldn’t be a privilege but the norm. #PublicHealth #PolicyAdvocacy #FoodJustice

Awareness days play a crucial role in highlighting important causes and bringing communities together throughout the year. At Baby Central, we believe in the power of these days to educate, inspire, and drive positive change. While Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate Awareness and Prevention Month is observed in America, it is a cause that is very close to our hearts. That’s why we work closely with Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) by supplying them with speciality feeding bottles from Dr Brown’s. These bottles are uniquely designed to manage complex oral feeding challenges. If you need any further advice or information, CLAPA's Parent & Peer Supporters are trained volunteers who can help you talk through any problems, worries or questions you have about cleft lip and palate. #AwarenessMatters #CleftLipAndPalate #SupportAndAwareness

Where we live, work and play can have a huge effect on our health. Building healthy neighborhoods with safe places to live, go to school, be active, and access fresh nutritious food, can help reduce risk to human trafficking. Consider how you can #Partner2Prevent by creating protective environments where individuals, families, and communities can thrive. #NPHW https://buff.ly/3U2j96P

Today is R U OK? Day, a powerful reminder of the importance of checking in with those around us. But it's more than just a day—it’s a movement that encourages meaningful conversations, any day of the year. 🌟 We’re showing our support with a special yellow banner on our website, but the real impact comes from reaching out to our colleagues, friends, and community. Our hospital teams are putting on R U OK? Day events to help spread awareness and encourage these life-changing conversations. A simple "Are you OK?" can go a long way. Together, we can make a difference. 💛 #RUOKDay #MentalHealth #SupportEachOther #Wellbeing #VeterinaryProfessionals

When was the last time you thanked your local public health department for keeping you alive today? It may seem like a strange question, yet on this week's #CelebrationsChatter, I learned how public health quietly protects us every moment of every day through things like clean water, seatbelts, smoke-free air in restaurants, and food safety standards. Guiding me through this often unseen world are Katherine Oliver and Dr. Amy Acton, co-creators of "The Invisible Shield," a groundbreaking four-part PBS documentary series that illuminates the critical role of public health in our daily lives. The most powerful takeaway for me? The best solutions come when we bring everyone to the table - government, business, philanthropy, and communities working together. "The Invisible Shield” is much more than just a documentary - it's a wake-up call about protecting and strengthening the systems that quietly keep us all safe. Listen to the full episode with the links in our comments, and please #ShareItForward by leaving a review. What aspects of public health do you take for granted in your daily life? Share your reflections by leaving a comment below. #PublicHealth #Healthcare #Leadership #Community #PBS #Documentary #SocialImpact
