Last week, we were proud to partner with Brighten A Day Foundation for a special community outreach event benefiting patients at Comer Children’s Hospital. Our team, along with their children and families, gathered at our Chicago office to write uplifting letters to children at the hospital. It was inspiring to see our Amsted community come together to share kindness and support for these young patients. From clutch throws to high-energy moments, the tournament brought out the best in everyone from across our business units. Congratulations once again to ConMet’s Canton, NC, team for taking home the title, and to Amsted Rail’s Greenville, SC, team for securing an impressive second place. We can’t wait to see what next year’s tournament will bring!
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, the devastation in the southeastern US has been especially challenging for our Consolidated Metco team in Canton, North Carolina. Their community has faced severe power outages, water shortages, and widespread damage, leaving many in need of urgent support. ConMet rallied together to raise $160,850 through a GoFundMe campaign to help employees and their families as they work through these incredibly difficult times. Inspired by the resilience of our Canton employees and the outpouring of support from across our organization, Amsted Industries donated an additional amount to bring the total to $200,000, which we had the honor of presenting to the ConMet Canton team during their victory at our recent company-wide cornhole tournament. Together, we stand united in helping our colleagues rebuild and recover.
