Are you using recruitment agencies that are under delivering? If you're experiencing issues such as delays, poor-quality candidates, or lack of communication, there are a few steps you can take: Clarify Expectations: Have a detailed discussion with the agency about what you're looking for in terms of candidate quality, timelines, and communication. Sometimes misalignment of expectations is a major contributor to poor results. Assess the Agencies' Track Record: If you've been using agencies for a while without satisfactory results, it may be worth considering if the agencies have a good track record in your industry or hiring needs. Provide Constructive Feedback: Share specific feedback about what isn’t working—whether it’s the quality of candidates, speed of delivery, or understanding of your company’s needs. A good agency will appreciate this feedback and work to improve. Consider Alternatives: If the current agencies are consistently under-delivering, it may be time to explore other recruitment options. Some agencies specialise in different sectors or have more robust networks, and that could better align with your needs. Are you facing challenges with a particular agency or type of recruitment? Black Friday sales have me thinking about recruitment fees and the psychology behind our negotiations. Here at Avani Group, we have set rates in place for each service offering and they vary depending on how the client prefers to operate. → Contingent → Exclusive → Retained I won't post our fees publicly but let's take 20% as an example... How many of us drop to 18% during negotiations and forget all about 19%? How many of us actually understand or consider the dollar value behind the fees we negotiate? On a $180,000 package, the difference between a 20% fee and a 16% fee is $7,200. That $7,200 isn't a 4% discount, it's a 20% discount. Don't know about you, but I'd take a 20% discount over 4% any day 💰 #recruitment #blackfriday #sales

We had a call this morning from a client, who after reviewing our rates is not proceeding to work with us. We are too expensive considering all we do is send CVs.... 🙄 Actually, we only want to work with clients that know and appreciate the value we add. The value of a recruitment consultant lies in their ability to streamline the hiring process for employers, provide access to talent not readily available on job boards, offer market insights and expertise, and facilitate successful matches between employers and candidates after hours of screening. Yes, there are costs associated with using our services, however the benefits often far outweigh the investment, especially in competitive industries where finding the right talent is crucial to a business. Recruiters - know your worth and stand strong!

In Q2 of this year in the UK the average Perm Consultant made 4 placements and the average Temp Consultant made 6 placements. (UK) When we looked at the consultants at the Top 5 agencies on Recruiter Insider for Candidate Experience, we discovered that: 🚀 the average Perm Consultant there made 5 placements 🚀 the average Temp Consultant made 10 placements. In Q2 alone, the agencies with the highest candidate experience scores made 1 extra Perm placement per consultant and an 4 extra temp placements per consultant. Highlighting as always the impact candidate experience has on your placement numbers. The data doesn’t lie, an improved candidate experience means more placements.
