At the start of the year, we sat down with the IPA City Heads and Group Chairs to see what they predicted for the ad industry for 2024… and it ended up being one of the most-read blogs of 2024. ‘2024 is due to be a bumper year for UK advertising with the Olympics and Paralympics, UEFA Euros, and the likelihood of a General Election all due in the next 12 months. From AI becoming mainstream and the power of brand coming to the fore again, our agency heads give their predictions for what 2024 will look like for Adland.’ Were their predictions right? https://lnkd.in/esfGraiS

'The silence this Pride is deafening' takes the next spot among our Top 10 Blogs of 2024. During Pride Month 2024, BBH London's Nic Alford asked why so many brands are silent and explained why showing up for what’s right is more than just wanting to... it’s about doing the work: https://lnkd.in/exYWt3fc

Next up on our 2024 podcast top 10 list we have IPA On… Female leadership McCann London's Polly McMorrow and Clementine Cuthbertson joined the podcast in April to discuss female leadership and gender equality at C-Suite level. They explore Polly's drive to build a culture of fearlessness, and how that leads to a culture in which creativity can thrive. They also delve into the Gender Pain Gap, by discussing McCann’s ‘See my Pain’ campaign with Nurofen, which stemmed from the fact that 1 in 2 women feel their pain was dismissed. It’s always great to see the ways the IPA member agencies contribute to their local communities. Amazing work from Dominic Palmer and the Rock Kitchen Harris team!
Last month, Dominic Palmer gave a talk to A-Level Criminology students at WQE College. As the students' current project requires them to plan, design, and justify an ad campaign for change, Dom was the perfect person to offer some creative expertise and insight. From receiving a client brief to strategy, ideation, and cross-channel roll-outs, Dom had plenty of advice to give the students to help them with their campaigns 👏
