Chief Operating Officer @Re:signal - Navigating Operations, Driving Excellence

A few weeks ago, we celebrated that we had hit our £2million revenue target for FY23/24 and that wouldn't have been possible without the brilliant work from our team. A year when, sadly, a number of agencies have struggled to keep their heads above water in such a tough market. For us, this year has been one of dedication, resilience, and collaboration - we're nothing without our people and clients. As our clients begin to wind down and enjoy the holiday season, our team has been working tirelessly to ensure we’re ahead of the game for the new year and they're still pushing through to the last few working days of December. Now, it’s time to switch gears. To everyone on our team: You’ve earned this break. Take this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy moments with friends and family. 🎄🎁 Here’s to starting the new year with the same energy and passion that made this one successful. Cheers to all the hard work—and to an exciting year ahead! 🥂 Happy holidays, everyone! 🌟

Looking forward to the UK Search Awards in London tonight! I think this is the first industry event I’ve been to since our Re:commerce conference in March, so looking forward to catching up with everyone. I’ve also barely touched alcohol in the last few months since becoming a dad, so please go easy on me 🍾🍼

For the first 10 years of running my agency, I saw myself as an SEO consultant who happened to run a business. Looking back, I realise I was so focused on the technical side of things that I neglected the bigger picture. It wasn't until a pivotal moment during a course at Cranfield University that I had a wake-up call. My coach challenged me to think about the sustainability of my business and helped me shift my perspective. I learned to prioritise: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Making tough decisions to cut costs and ensure profitability. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺: Empowering my team to take ownership and deliver exceptional results. 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Thinking beyond immediate wins to create a sustainable future for my business. That shift from SEO consultant to business leader has been crucial to our growth at Re:signal. It's allowed me to focus on the things that truly matter: building a great company, serving our clients, and making a positive impact. What was your wake up call, which led you to switch things up?

If you’re in SEO or e-commerce for a sportswear brand, you need to check out this report. Our team uncovered some surprising insights: Contrary to expectations, it’s the generalist sites - think department stores - that are capturing more sportswear terms and growing their share of voice. And here’s something else: 56% of customers actually prefer shopping online over in-store for sportswear, showing the power of SEO in delivering that ideal experience. Want the full breakdown? Download the report and dive in! Have you noticed any similar trends with your brand? Drop a comment!
