Breakthrough discoveries transforming mental healthcare

About us

ieso is the UK’s leading digital mental healthcare and therapeutics business. It is addressing the global mental health crisis by developing clinically evidenced assessment and treatment products that enable everyone with a common mental health condition to recover. ieso uses technology and data science to better understand, prevent, detect, and treat mental health conditions. Its core product offers AI-powered, therapist-delivered, digital cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). With a growing network of 600 fully qualified therapists, ieso serves more than 20 million adults through the UK National Health Service (NHS). By analysing over 500 million data points contained in the world’s largest outcome-linked mental health dataset, ieso’s AI and data research teams are decoding the active components of therapy and enabling ground-breaking approaches for digital therapeutics (DTx). ieso is now developing new digital therapeutic products that will support the transformation needed in mental healthcare. What’s the future for AI in healthcare ❓ While there is clear potential for AI to automate some aspects of psychotherapy, a machine will never care for a patient in the same way that humans do. So how do we chart a sensible path forward by linking up the efforts and perspectives of clinicians, health systems, patients and technology innovators? Take part in the discussion as we host our final session in ieso's 3-part AI webinar series. 📍 Thursday 5 December, 9:30-10:30am GMT 🖱️ Click here to secure your free ticket: www.iesogroup.com/webinar

❓ Is this the end of the road for therapists? This is the big question we’ll be discussing in the third and final session of the webinar series - Demystifying #ai in mental healthcare. The rise of AI chatbots has led to a number of people questioning whether there is a future role for human delivered therapy. “Can’t it all just be done by a machine?”. While there is clear potential for AI to automate some aspects of psychotherapy, a machine will never care for a patient in the same way that humans do. How do we chart a sensible path forward by linking up the efforts and perspectives of clinicians, health systems, patients and technology innovators? Join our panel of industry experts and CBT therapists as they discuss: ◼ What’s the future for AI in healthcare? What do the new technologies mean in terms of the abilities of AI systems? ◼ What is the human response to technology? How do we ensure that people don’t feel short-changed by a tech solution? ◼ What role do therapists play and how does their practice evolve and change? ◼ Can we focus human-level expertise and deep care experience on those people who need it most? 🖱 To attend the final session and ask the panel your questions, click here to secure your spot: www.iesogroup.com/webinar 📌 5 December, 9:30-10:30pm GMT

❣ Empathy is crucial, right? The more the better! Or so we thought... ieso analysed data from over 700,000 hours of typed CBT sessions to guide our therapy treatments, and highlight what key ingredients of therapy predict #outcomes and #engagement. Our data analysts compared two things side by side:  🔶 How many times patient language in a treatment session provided an opportunity for empathy 🔶 How often a therapist actually provided a patient with empathy In tomorrow's monthly Transforming Talking Therapies email, Shazna Khanom will talk through the analysis of therapist language that revealed two unexpected factors that drove outcomes. Landing in inboxes tomorrow. Get your copy by signing up here: www.iesogroup.com/ttt or find the link in the comments below 👇

📊 We analysed over 6️⃣ 0️⃣ 0️⃣ million words clinicians said in therapy sessions that impacted #outcomes. Next week in our monthly Transforming Talking Therapies email Shazna Khanom will talk through the more surprising findings from the data.  In this email Shazna will explore; ◼ What happens when a clinician 'overuses' empathy ◼ What impact a mismatch in reading age between a clinician and patient has on outcomes Landing in inboxes on Thursday 21 November. #Movember movement began because men are dying too young. ❓Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 50, and 75% of all suicides are men. Talking about men’s mental health and suicide in November is certainly a start, but there's more to be done. DYK 40% of men have never talked to anyone about their mental health⁉️ ✋We need to actively normalise conversations about our mental well-being and support one another to open up.
