🍞 Can bread prevent cognitive decline? Our latest project aims to find out. We are excited to announce that myota has been awarded a grant from Innovate UK and BBSRC to develop an innovative prebiotic-fortified bakery product as part of the BiomeBakery project. In partnership with Puratos, University of Reading (School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences), and Thriva, we will be formulating the first bakery product that delivers cognitive and mental health benefits for the ageing UK population, by targeting the gut microbiome. This project represents a major step forward in addressing widespread fibre deficiencies for the ageing UK population, and reducing the personal, societal, and financial burden associated with cognitive decline.
