#Y2KMoment #CDMOindia As the Bio-Secure Act takes centre stage, there is a growing buzz across both affected and beneficiary countries. The big question on everyone's mind in Indian industry: Should we invest now in new technology, infrastructure, R&D, and market reach, or should we wait? Interestingly, this moment reminds me of the Y2K scenario for the Indian IT industry. Back in the late 1990s, the world braced for a potential digital crisis as we approached December 31, 1999. Indian IT firms seized the opportunity, working hard to establish themselves as global leaders. While larger companies initially had the edge, it was the mid and smaller, more agile, and transparent firms that have since become into today's industry giants. So, are there parallels for the Indian CDMO industry today? I believe so..... A ) Y2K had a clear deadline, and so does the Bio-Secure Act. US innovators have a 5-year window to realign and shift supply chains for commercial projects. Of course new molecules will find their homes from day one, which means an immediate inflow of RFPs and due diligence of the service providers. B ) For the Indian CDMO sector, now is the time to act. Building technical capabilities and scaling efficiently should be our focus. Let us not forget—during the Y2K frenzy, poor execution, overpromising, and greed wiped out many IT companies. We must avoid those pitfalls. C ) The IT industry’s success hinged on human capital and brilliant minds. The best HR practices played a crucial role during the Y2K period and beyond. The same applies now to the CDMO industry—talent and leadership will be pivotal in this knowledge based industry as well . This is not just a one-time event; it is a journey. If we handle it right, this could reshape the industry for years to come. We had other countries at that time looking for IT business as our competitors ! And we have the same situation for CDMO today . India prevailed and will do the same this time as well ! The key ! Shift business models, deploy resources with long-term vision, execute responsibly, and deliver consistently. The future is massive !!!

Kindly do a thorough review of the reports by GSP before you integrate them in your mainstream accounting system. Over the period of time I had opportunities to review the reports of multiple GSP. I have found that almost every famous GSP had some bugs / inefficiencies in their report. While some openly acknowledged impossibilities of certain reports, some gave false hope that certain reports are possible. My practical experience in coding google python API gave me ability to review certain fallacies of their claim. I would suggest a thorough review, by both finance professionals and API coders, of the correctness of GSP reports before you integrate. #gst #cfo #charteredaccountants

Covert vs overt.... visible things only can change when we are able to see and understand invisible. many a times we go with biases which is created by some incomplete data or feedback, and we start confirming the same biases with the help of selective information and data we chose to prove our biases right. If you as a leader wish to change the outcome ... deep dive, triangulate, allow all stakeholders to speak ... and identify the real reason which may be invisible initially...... identifying right reason collaboratively may give right hypothesis and right solutions....

Muscle Wresting by Political Parties in Maharashtra As the election season heats up in Maharashtra, unusual and somewhat disturbing incidents are bound to happen. Unfortunately, this evening, it happened to me. Earlier today, a group of political party workers visited my house to hand over polling booth slips. What should have been a simple, apolitical interaction turned into something far more uncomfortable as they started urging me to vote for Modi. 🗳️ I firmly believe in the power and importance of local governance, so I responded that I should vote for the local candidate. I also pointed out that no one should be telling me whom to vote for, as I could easily get the polling booth slip outside the polling station on the day of voting. I then addressed their not-so-subtle campaigning tactic by saying, "on the pretext of giving polling booth slips, you are canvassing for your party, and that is not a good approach." I also questioned them about unresolved issues in our area, such as poor road conditions and the drinking water problem. However, the response I received was far from constructive. Visibly upset by my questions, they became aggressive, claiming that my vote was their right. This escalated quickly into a chaotic rant about their party's strength, number of elected officials, and other unrelated accolades. Their disorderly behavior highlights a larger problem: political parties often prioritize their own election success over the well-being of the people they are supposed to serve.
