“Keanan's impact on Getaround's company culture and marketing strategy cannot be understated. Internally, he took the time to develop relationships with every department, understand their goals and priorities, and use that knowledge to recognize opportunities for cross-functional projects that streamlined company resources and encouraged open lines of communication to further remove blockers. Beyond that, he stepped up to lead a team of twelve local marketing managers by revamping our business intelligence processes, filtering communications from HQ and offering specialized training and mentorship on strategic partnerships. Externally, Keanan built the Getaround name from the ground up in Seattle and identified influential advocates, working tirelessly to build partnerships with organizations and companies that shared similar company values and would benefit from the platform. I envy anyone who has the chance to work for or alongside Keanan, there are very few people who will empower their teams the way that he does.”

How do you collaborate with the product team to improve market performance?
The relationship between Product and Product Marketing is absoutely integral to both functions. Product and PMM should work together early in feature ideation to truly understand the value that a propose feature provides to customers and the potential revenue impact of such a change. In an ideal world, Product leverages PMM's incredible knowledge of the customer during the whole product development lifecycle. Conversely PMM should be leveraging Product to understand how to plan campaigns and the sanity check that product positioning and messaging is effective and accurate.

What are the best practices for creating a go-to-market strategy that leverages high customer satisfaction?
Many marketers get flustered over the desire for perfection with customer testimonials. This slows down the content creation process and leaves you usually with only a few "North Star" testimonials. Quickly hop on Zoom to record your best customers talking about how much they love your product and then throw that short video in your drip campaigns or in Reddit ads. Authenticity, speed, and consistency will often beat out production value.
