PEXA has broadened its security visibility to get a better understanding of the threats and risks of operating in a cloud-based environment. David W., the now former CISO at PEXA, told Digital Nation Australia customers are the ones who benefit from having a cloud security practice behind the scenes. “Especially if you consider the PEXA exchange, which 90 percent of Australia's property transactions settle on that exchange platform. “So much so, that the Department of Home Affairs has now recognised it as a critical infrastructure asset. “We now comply with SoCI [Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018]. There is almost an unsaid expectation that we will be doing everything we can to ensure a robust, resilient and secure platform behind the scenes.” PEXA integrated Prisma Cloud with its Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts to gain visibility into that space. Norths Collective has seen its membership base grow by 7000 following continued digital transformation work. Through the transformation, membership engagement email open rates have gone from 20 percent to 60 percent, but “beyond that” click-through rates have gone from about 1.4 percent to close to 12 percent. The organisation is using "hyper personalisation" across its digital channels, a change from what it did a decade ago when every member received the same email outreach. Now, each member “gets a unique message and unique communication that is based on not just demographical data but also ethically based on their behavioural data," Lopez said. PEXA has broadened its security visibility to get a better understanding of the threats and risks of operating in a cloud-based environment. David W., the now former CISO at PEXA, told Digital Nation Australia that PEXA's migration from "traditional on-premises, server-based infrastructure in a data centre here in Melbourne to being completely cloud-based" created new requirements around visibility. It also offered PEXA an overview of various assets such as high-risk configurations and regulatory requirements. “We were able to very easily roll access and dashboards to the tool out to the broader cloud and dev communities within the organisation as well so that they were able to see how they were progressing as well," Willett said. This covered teams' understanding of how secure their products, code and other resources under management were. PEXA integrated Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks with its Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts to gain visibility into that space.
