If you happen to be in Brussels, this one’s worth checking out: Flowspace, a CultTech partner project, is kicking off its first exhibition at Sofitel Brussels Europe. Curated by Eugenia Durandy de Naurois-Turgot, it features works by French artists Jane Puylagarde, Silvère Jarrosson, and Marc-Antoine Garnier. Expect bold colors, textures, and a setting that turns the hotel space into an art gallery! A few words about the project: Flowspace focuses on bringing art to new spaces and audiences. Partnering with top venues around the world, they aim to connect artists with fresh faces while making these spaces a bit more cultural — which corresponds to the mission of #culttech. 🗓 Exhibition dates: Nov 14, 2024 - Jan 6, 2025 🎉 Opening event: Nov 14th, 6:30 PM 📍 Sofitel Brussels Europe, Place Jourdan 1, Brussels Free registration here: https://lnkd.in/dD-jJfAj

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 🌟 I had the pleasure of visiting Vienna to attend the highly curated CultTech Association 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁. This event was a hub of passionate and like-minded individuals united by a common mission: to create societal impact and elevate the cultural sector through innovative technologies emerging every day. ✨ 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁: 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀: Leaders shared their insights on the intersection of culture and technology, offering valuable lessons from their extensive experience. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀: The DSL Collection showcased their pioneering contemporary Chinese collection, blending culture and digital innovation since 2005. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀: It was inspiring to see startups presenting innovative solutions shaping the future of culture and technology. 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Reconnecting with Sylvain Levy IRL and meeting new faces enriched the experience with meaningful conversations and potential collaborations. 🔍 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲: The cultural sector may move at a slower pace, but its resilience and positive societal impact are undeniable. As founders, staying steadfast and adaptable while keeping our mission front and center is crucial. 𝟮. 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆: Success isn’t measured by the number of followers but by surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who can significantly influence your journey. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Embrace experimentation and iteration to discover your true strengths and refine your offerings. 𝟰. 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Share your passion in your unique way. Authenticity attracts the right audience and fosters meaningful synergies. 𝟱. 𝗘𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: It’s fascinating to see the sector evolve from blockchain a few years ago to the current focus on AI. Embracing new technologies is essential, and as long as the impact of the projects remains significant, they can be deemed successful. 💬 𝗔 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲 During my panel, I shared Rebecca Orlov's inspiring words: "𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭." This resonates with my mission to help cultural institutions foster playfulness in visitors, creating joyful experiences and lasting memories. 🎯 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁! Are you part of a cultural or educational institution looking to bring more playfulness to your visitors? Let’s collaborate! 🙏 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 Grateful to everyone I met and reconnected with at the summit. #CultTech #CulturalInnovation #TechInCulture #Museums #Art #DigitalInnovation #Networking #AI Agnieszka Cichocka Anieke Lamers Adriano Picinati di Torcello Kenan Zekić Brendan Ciecko Kristina Leipold Stephanie Meisl Andreas Fraunberger Lubna El-Masri

An essential highlight of the CultTech Summit — is the second edition of our joint Award with Ars Electronica. We've received 147 projects from 40 countries — and then the jury members (Gerfried Stocker, Dmitry Aksenov and Veronica D'Souza) picked the winner — Escape Fake, an immersive augmented reality experience that transforms media literacy education. The project blends gaming, storytelling, and digital innovation, aiming to empower young people and educators to engage with the digital world critically, debunk fake news, and tackle the global challenge of disinformation — something that we all need to learn especially these days. Congrats to Irina Paraschivoiu, Thomas Layer-Wagner, Benjamin Arzt, Julian Watzinger and Tobias Hoffmann. An Honorary Mention of the 2024 award went to an Italian project called 'Embracing Places' — which uses immersive technology and body practice to foster connection, solidarity, and appreciation of artistic and cultural heritage. Cheers to Margherita Landi and Agnese Lanza for putting together such a human-oriented idea that involves residents and the unique landscapes of small towns in Italy.

650 attendees  70 speakers  35+ countries Thousands of conversations and connections. Honestly, we’re overwhelmed. Of course, we always believed in the idea of culttech, but seeing so many sharing our vision is just heartwarming. The most common feedback we’ve heard at the CultTech Summit was something like: ‘I’ve been to a lot of summits and conferences — but this is something new. It never felt like that before’. AI-engineers discovering artistic projects, music industry leaders mingling with philosophers, businessmen chatting with social activists (and so on) — all of that happened. Just like we wrote in our press releases — it all came to life. And though we did our best to put it all together — we’re still amazed by the results. But the best thing about it all — these human connections we’ve all made will go far beyond the Summit. And now, as it usually goes on Linkedin, it’s time to say our ‘thank you-s’. First of all, thanks to our attendees. You made it all happen. Yes, the program obviously matters — but this is not a music festival where you go after content; CultTech Summit’s main goal was to serve as a platform for connections — and though it doesn’t sound humble — we definitely succeeded. Thanks to our speakers. For trusting us and our vision. Some experts were a part of our community, but others had never heard about the CultTech Association before. Still, they decided to join in and share their knowledge and expertise. That was wonderful (or wunderbar, as we say in Vienna). A few words for our team. Guys, we made it! Not gonna lie — this wasn’t easy. Hundreds of calls for all of us, hundreds of tough decisions and even some disagreements — but we’ve got through all that. And we should be proud of ourselves! We only started the Association a couple of years ago — and now we’re hosting an event like that. Wow. If this is how we start — then what’s coming next? We feel electrified. /// Alexey Steblev, Marc Brandsma, Maria Sloeva, Joachim Vranken, Tatiana Ilyina, Pierre-Francois Marteau, Pavel Yablonskiy, Galina Fallenegger, Sarah Luiz, Alejandra Prieto, Martina Szoeke, Pavel Iushin, Olga Voznaya, Samanta P., Alexey Kosachev, Petra Hamberger, Anastasiia Temnikova. And many-many more! (We cannot tag any more people here — but this is just a tiny part of the list of people who made it all happen). #culttech #culttechsummit

Phew! Day 1 at the Summit was a blast! If you were there, you probably felt it, too. But whether you joined us or not, here’s a quick recap — it’s worth reliving (or catching a sneak peek). 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 Founders & newbies, investors & musicians — people from every corner of culture and tech finding common ground and big ideas. And to be honest, that was our main goal. Seeing you all connect, share, and mingle — that’s what we’re here for, and we hope you’ve felt it, too! Sometimes the mingling was so intense, that people would still whisper among each other — and then they had to face Hazel Savage The Shusher (if you know, you know). 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 Since we’ve had two halls right in front of each other — there was a constant flow of people in both directions, but it wasn’t disturbing at all thanks to how the venue is organised. The Oval Halle was more of a place for mingling — free coffee and Red Bulls helped a lot, whilst Arena 21 produced some serious content almost permanently. We’ve never had 500+ people events before — and obviously we were a little nervous about it. But things are going pretty smoothly: no welter or any kind of mess observed so far — will be doing our best to keep it that way. 𝐀 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 Yes, it’s been our biggest event so far — but we’re absolutely delighted to see a lot of familiar faces here anyway. Speakers, founders — and people who just happened to like culttech a lot and became a part of our community. Hope this connection will only get stronger after the Summit. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 No way we could do a full recap of all the panels, pitches and discussions we’ve had so far — but the speakers at the Summit produced a ton of inspiring content (just like we promised). Stick with us for Day 2 — we’re excited to see where the conversation takes us next!
