𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲. It gathered kindred spirits who know the importance of art and culture. We skipped superficial talk and dove straight into deep conversations.
S𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘵s:
𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Adriano Picinati di Torcello, leads the #DeloittePrivate Art & Finance Conference in Luxembourg but also has a keen understanding of impact investing, showed how financial gains and social outcomes can go hand-in-hand in the cultural sector.
𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Hazel Savage (her name says it all!), along with investors Oliver Holle - Speedinvest, Uli Schmitz - Axel Springer, and Severin Zugmayer - New Renaissance Ventures, broke down how cultural investments often masquerade under other industries. They made a compelling case for embracing new business models.
𝗔 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: One of my favorite panels, “Redefining Academia: CultTech’s Role in Higher Education,” guided by Nathalie Pichard. Christopher Lindinger shared inspiring stories about bringing digital experiences into the curriculum at the Mozarteum in Salzburg—exactly the kind of approach I envisioned Piumosso contributing to in the classical music world.
𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: The panel “Making Culture Inclusive: Participation and Power for Social Innovation,” led with vision by Rashid Owoyele and featuring Christoph Hassler, Kave Bulambo (She/Her), and Ana Alvarez, was special. As a Brazilian woman bringing innovation to the very European classical music industry, their stories resonated deeply. They made me believe in the power of inclusive leadership.

I had the privilege of being there thanks to the support from the Vienna Business Agency, thanks Florian Schanznig.
The most empowering part of the event: I was never the only woman in the room. Women were everywhere, shining with brilliance and redefining what Tech looks like.
If you're passionate about the intersection of culture and tech, Vienna is the place to watch.
