Investigate the past, change the future

Info

Escape Fake is a free-to-play augmented reality game where players navigate a digital escape room to debunk fake news and prevent disinformation from shaping the future. In the game, players team up with Hannah, a reverse reality hacker, to stop disinformation from escalating. By scanning markers, combining 3D objects, and solving quizzes, they uncover the truth and "escape the fake." Designed for educators teaching media literacy to young people aged 12 to 18, Escape Fake has been tested across all age groups, including families, journalists, and diplomats. Its unique approach combines playful learning with augmented reality, making complex topics engaging and easy to understand. Students and educators benefit from: - Playful learning: Learning about fake news is exciting, challenging, and rewarding. - Immersive experience: Augmented objects make the game feel as real as any escape room. - Engaging storyline: Players work with a history hacker to reveal fake stories and reshape the future. - Critical thinking: Solve complex riddles and use fact-checking strategies to uncover the truth. - Flexible play: Play in classrooms, workshops, or at home. Combine with lectures, presentations, and more. Our offer: - Three game chapters: Each focusing on different aspects of disinformation. - Toolkit for educators: Detailed guides on using Escape Fake in the classroom. - Online course: A deep dive into disinformation and experiential learning concepts. We also offer an exhibition format available on demand, along with in-person workshops for educators and organizations looking to navigate the digital landscape responsibly.
