Don’t only research the company also do research on the people you’ll be meeting with as well as doing work around the job that you’re interviewing for. Have a look at the key skills they are looking for (both technical as well soft skills) and start thinking of some examples of where your previous experience aligns with what they are looking for.

Being in recruitment means you have to constantly be learning but never more so than in your first 2-3 years. Become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Ask questions, listen and learn from others. And if your company is not investing in your continuous learning take it into your own hands - there are so many resources out there nowadays

I am a firm believer in ongoing development. Over my career in recruitment, I have attended NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services) annual events 6 times, I have trained with some of the top US trainers including Jon Bartos, Barbra Bruno, Peter Lefkowitz, Mike Lejeune and Terry Petra.
In addition I have completed courses in Presentation Skills, Communication, EQ, Strategic Business Management, Finance for Non Finance Managers and numerous Leadership courses and seminars. -
