Climate
Bangalore, the capital city of the Indian state of
Karnataka, has a tropical savanna climate. The city
experiences a moderate climate throughout the
year with relatively high humidity. The average
temperature in Bangalore ranges between 20°C to
30°C.
Water table
The average water table level across the city rose
by two feet from 2020 to 2021, and by November
2022, another eight-foot increase was recorded,
according to data by the Groundwater Directorate.
Soil
The soils of the districts can be broadly grouped
into red loamy soil and lateritic soil. Laterite soils
occur on undulating terrain forming plain to gently
sloping topography of peninsular gneissic region.
Topography
The topography of Bangalore is undulating with a
central ridge running NNE-SSW. The highest point is
Doddabettahalli, which is 962 m (3,156 ft) and lies on
this ridge. No major rivers run through the city,
though the Arkavathi and [Dakshin Pinakini river]
cross paths at the Nandi Hills, 60 km (37 mi.) to the

• Mantri Mall is equipped with the latest safety and preventive measures
against fire and damage.
• The Mall has two sets of automatic fire hydrant & sprinkler systems with
adequate electric & diesel driven back-up pumps.
• Smoke and heat detectors are installed in all sections of the mall
including the food court and the shop areas.
• Additionally, there are 17 raising mains and 70 hydrant boxes with 16 yard
hydrants, each with two canvas hoses. Sprinklers and drenchers have
been installed in the mall and the basement car parking, respectively, as
per norms.
• The water main pressure is maintained at a constant of 7 kg/cm2 and
adequate water storage is available exclusively for firefighting purposes
