Instruction: Provide the correct answer to each of the following numbers.

1. Define the sector of a circle.
A sector of a circle is a pie-shaped part of a circle made of the arc along with its two radii. A portion of the
circumference (also known as an arc) of the circle and 2 radii of the circle meet at both endpoints of the arc
formed a sector. The shape of a sector of a circle looks like a pizza slice or a pie. In geometry, a circle is one of
the most perfect figures. The shape of a sector of a circle is the simplest shape in geometry. It has various parts of
its own. Such as diameter, radius, circumference, segment, sector. In this article, we will learn about what is a
sector of a circle, formulas related to the sector of a circle along with solving a few examples on the sector of a
circle.

2. What is an arc length?

Arc length is better defined as the distance along the part of the circumference of any circle or any curve
(arc). Any distance along the curved line that makes up the arc is known as the arc length. A part of a curve or a
part of a circumference of a circle is called Arc. All of them have a curve in their shape. The length of an arc is
longer than any straight line distance between its endpoints (a chord).

3. What is a radian?
Radian is a unit of angle, equal to an angle at the center of a circle whose arc is equal in length to the radius.

4. How many radians in a circumference?

It's actually fairly simple. The circumference of a circle is 2 times π times r which means that there are
approximately 6.28 Radians in a full circle.

5. What is angular displacement? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.

It is defined as the change in the angle of a body with respect to the initial angular position.
Angular displacement (radians) = Arc length(meters)
Radius of circular motion (meters)

Formula: ϴ= s
r
6. What is angular velocity? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.

Angular velocity is the rate of change of the position angle of an object with respect to time, so
 w = theta / t, where w = angular velocity, theta = position angle, and t = time.

7. What is angular acceleration? Write its formula and its unit of measurement.
The angular acceleration can be found directly from its definition in
α=ΔωΔt α = Δ ω Δ t because the final angular velocity and time are given. We see thatΔω is 250 rpm andΔt is
5.00 s. Solution for (a) Entering known information into the definition of angular acceleration, we get. α=ΔωΔt=250
rpm5.00 s.

8. How do you convert the angular displacement into linear displacement?

Angular displacement defines the movement of a segment as represents the change in angular position.
Linear displacement of any point along a segment that is rotation can be calculated with: d = rθ as long as angular
position is expressed in rads.

9. How do you convert the angular velocity into linear velocity?

Since the arclength around a circle is given by the radius*angle (l = r*theta), you can convert an angular
velocity w into linear velocity v by multiplying it by the radius r, so v = rw.

10. How do you convert the angular acceleration into linear acceleration?
α=atr. α = a t r . These equations mean that linear acceleration and angular acceleration are directly
proportional. The greater the angular acceleration is, the larger the linear (tangential) acceleration is, and vice
versa.
