    CHT - Component Height Test
    SENSORS AND COUNTERPARTS
    CHT hardware is based on an analogue output posi-
    tioning system, it locates the component by contact. It
    measures its height reliably and simply with a precision
    of less than 0.05 mm.

    Small and compact, it can be fitted onto a cable testing


    board or in a structure together with an EV4 viewing
    system.

    The pressure on the components is minimal, only 0.5


    newtons. During the closing manoeuvre the stroke of
    each sensor is constantly controlled, and the manoeuvre
    is aborted if any sensor reaches the maximum, to avoid
    accidentally pressing any part of the box.

    Very high-speed test, approximately one second for an


    average-sized box.

    There are sensors to detect the position of the back of


    the box in different areas and the height of the compo-
    nent is measured in relation to the assigned back. This
    enables greatly misshapen boxes or those with not very
    stable parts to be verified.

    SOFTWARE
    CHT comes with two applications: one for editing and
    the other for carrying out the test. The editing and test
    environments are completely graphic.

    The system fully integrates into the EV4 viewer environ-


    ment; a second CHT test can be requested if during the
    viewing test any of the components have been manip-
    ulated.

    Register of the height of each component in correct and


    incorrect test, integrated with the register of data of the
    viewing test.

    Simple programming and very fast calibration of the


    system.

    Integrates fully into the HETOS system.
