India is fast becoming the epicenter for global leadership.   Global Capability Centers (GCCs) across India have seen a staggering 120X rise in global roles over the past decade. The country now boasts over 5,000 such senior positions steering decision making for their Global HQs.   “This transformation is due to the maturing capabilities of India’s centers of excellence and how technology has enabled deeper data-driven customer insights,” notes Pari Natarajan CEO of Zinnov in today's The Times Of India feature.   Key to this seismic shift is a rich talent pool of digital, engineering, and leadership skills. As global companies concentrate more critical responsibilities in India across R&D, services, and customer-facing functions, they are also elevating leaders in the country to drive organization-wide strategy.   We believe that India is aggressively staking its claim as a global hub for innovation, talent, and leadership. We expect the rise to continue as India cements its status as the epicenter of global leadership. Sujit John | Sarv Saravanan | Chitra Sukumar | Vishal Bhasin #India #GCC #Leadership #talent

Having moved/created few global roles in Bangalore, I am fully aligned that more such roles are in India now. Sujit John, it would be awesome if you can publish a story about IC (individual contributor) global roles in India. These are Principal Engineers, Architects, Fellows, etc roles at GCCs. These folks contribute to next gen products and truly make the product ownership in India.

I had the honor and privilege to do spade work in late 2010 to get the Fortune 1 company establish a GCC in Bharat in April 2012 .It is a very satisfying experience as being employee number 1 one sees its grow to more than 12000 talented associates across Technology and business Services making a difference to USD 600 Billion dollar company true to its mission of "Helping people save money so that they can live better".Jai Hind

Significant change in the mindset of organizations in last 2 decades. India is no more looked as a back office, execution engine only. Its playing an important role in driving the change and bringing in thought leadership. Most of the GCC's are aspiring to move from Delivery center to Transformation center for the company.

The shift from BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) to GCC (Global Capability Centers) in India signifies a broader evolution towards higher-value services and capabilities. It reflects a strategic move to establish India as a hub for more complex and knowledge-intensive functions within global organizations. #indiashining

Absolutely Pari. We have seen a shift in the way GCC’s have matured and moved over past few years. Becoming the Technology, and Innovation hub utilising the large talent pool available in India seems the way forward .

GCCs will play a larger and larger role in transformation of their parent organisation....key roles, critical skills, leading transformation projects etc will be the new norm in the mature GCCs Zinnov Pari Natarajan

Congratulations Deepak Visweswaraiah While the influx of GCC into India is so high, the recent conversation we had about setting up a GCC is all about finding talent, culture building and structuring. The physical aspects of creating infrastructure is a small piece in the larger game. With over 125 GCC's set to come to India just next year and increasing every year from then, we are going to see a huge demand for talent, organizational structuring, culture building, skills and infrastructure.

Impressive insights! It's fascinating to see India's transformation into a global leadership epicenter. The rise in global roles and the emphasis on digital, engineering, and leadership skills truly showcases India's potential. Looking forward to seeing this trend continue as India solidifies its position as a hub for innovation and talent.
